Sabres seem to have the most action out of all the other teams on hockeybuzz...

Why is everyone saying this Girgenson is so tough and hits so hard, the next Drury? I watched him play all season in the AHL and the guy wasn't anything special, he wasn't hitting anyone like Cam Neely or going doing much of anything. We shall see.

McNabb looked terrible last year, one game against Tampa's super fast farm team he was beaten wide so bad I'm surprised he wasn't sent to the East Coast roller hockey league.

Kevin Sundher looked weak and was lost in the AHL, he plays small like smurf.

You copied the exact same thing you said the other night.

NJ drafted marty's kid with a late round pick (also an undersized goalie).

Classy move or corny publicity stunt?

Classy IMO. If the kid never makes it near the NHL at least he can say he was drafted by the NJ Devils.

It's a little bit of both but I lean more towards classy. It's Marty's probably swan song and letting him announce the draft pick is a nice touch to a player that is and will always be the face of their franchise

yeah and everyone one of those 4 blogs has 500+ comments.

most bloggers couldn't dream of those kinds of numbers.

garth is the only blogger i know that has had ~12 1k+ comment threads.

for all the poop everyone gives garth he gets MASSIVE hits, especially when compared to the rest of the bloggers.

when 100% of your income revolves around hits on your website, garth and his atrocious spelling are invaluable.

Funny part is that it's nothing to do with Garth. Most of us don't read his blogs, there are just a lot of Sabres fans that post frequently.

I love all the hockeybuzz scouts we have on here!

"Ristolainen terrible pick...soft as mink fur...Darcy sucks" (ok, THAT I agree with).

Risto not soft AT ALL, and has one of, if not THE, hardest shot in this draft. Great pick.

And with Zadorov - if Myers can get his sh!t together - we will have one big, skilled, nasty defense.

- Powerslave

Our defense is gonna be big, mean & a b!tch to play against in a few years...
Ehrhoff-Ristolainen
Zadorov-Myers
McNabb-Pysyk
-eventually, McCabe takes Ehrhoff's spot

That's one real tough sob on each pairing
I REALLY like what Darcy did here
He's built what looks to be one heck of a group of defensemen,
And didn't need to trade Miller or Vanek to do it!

Now we can use them to get some more help at forward
Btw, Compher was a great pick...
Another stellar trade made

I know many of u don't trust Darcy to do this rebuild,
But it's off to a fantastic start IMO

Still work to be done though
Let's see what we get back for Miller & Vanek

i think the goal is to get like 2 nhl players out of any given draft. if you get 2 you have done well.

I wouldn't be shocked at all to see a BUF/COL deal where we ship defense to them in exchange for one of their centers. A center group of MacKinnon, Duchene, O'Rielly, and Stastny, etc. is forcing guys to play MUCH lower than they should. They desperately need D as well.
