Wonder who we get for Miller and Vanek if we trade them... should be interesting
- Beezer33

Vanek will be traded for rejecting a maximum contract..

I think Pegula walks Myers, Ristolanian, Zadorov, and McNabb into the meeting room with Miller and says "You guys protect Miller. That is your job. That is your sole existence"

And Miller might resign and retire a Sabre.

Stafford is more of a win than some of others drafted around him. Plus the Sabres and Darcy aren't the only ones who have drafted "trash" as you put it. So what's you're point?
- awildmudkip

I don't trust Darcy's decision making and there is no reason to start. If you think he did a great job, then your basing that not on ANY fact available.

Are you drunk or riding the short bus?

You just made my point. 81% of players drafted wont play more than 200 games (less than 3 seasons). First rounders dont even have a 2/3rds chance of making the NHL, none the less amounting to anything once in the league.

210 players are drafted each year, most of those players wont amount to anything.

pfft.... semantics

I have heard he is a lazy out of shape bum by carolina fans.. I have heard he can be a PP QB.. and then I heard he is a big checker and stay at home guy?

Yeah, stop using data and facts. We only use wildly biased opinions, 'sources', unicorn horns, fairy dust and shamrocks

What do Carolina fans know about hockey? They think Sekera is a shut-down defenceman.

I think he was the Kotalik or Pardy of the deal. The real target was the 2nd round pick. McBain could start in Rochester next year and I'd be fine with the trade

McBain hasn't played in AHL since 2010...Would never clear waivers. Ruhwedel will start in ROC

We are getting worked up over short bus references? I would be more offended if they said tart cart or something a little more degrogetory.

That's fine. I still think the real target was Compher and the more I learn about him, the more I like the trade. I don't see McBain in the long term plans, that's all.

what are you talking about...do you understand odds? Do you know what most even means...

63 percent is very good odds at being able to do something most people cant.

From what I can tell, who needs Goaltenders:

Calgary (Best Goaltender Leland Irving, Kiprusoff's retiring)
Edmonton (Devan Dubnyk)
Florida (Jacob Markstrom)
Islanders (Unless Nabokov returns)
Philadelphia (Steve Mason)

I think the only one he would accept would be Philly unless he really wants to leave and doesn't provide a list...
What is your ideal package from each of these teams?
