Thomas is a guy with a Vezina and a Conn Sythe, and who put up great numbers for a stretch of years.
He's not may favorite guy, because I feel that his public statements and actions created an issue in the room that was a distraction for the Bruins the year after they won the Stanley Cup.
But, if he just comes in and plays, I'm onboard. He's not a bigger risk than a guy like Ellis or Emery, and he wouldn't cost assets to acquire, like Halak or Hillier - Jsaquella
I would like the Flyers to get Nabokov on a two year deal. Has to be a decent price like $3M per. |

10 Mil?
5 for Vinny
3 for Thomas
2 for Gagne or 2.5
Theyd be moving salary as well, Coburn. Just a thought |

I'm pretty bad at Calculus, and I'm pretty sure Homer was speaking in Math. |

I'm open to Nabokov, too, although he had some issues last season, and looked bad in playoffs |

When does Pronger's LTIR come off the cap? At the beginning of the season? Like, can we just work assuming we have the money now, or do we have to get under the cap and then once the season starts can we take the money off the cap? |

Any word on what Timmy has been doing this past year? Yoga? Teaching Beard Growing 101 at a local community college? Pondering the design of his next - perhaps last - mask? Hiding in a bunker? |

10% over the cap with Pronger's hit included.
Edit: until the season starts. |

Think you can go 10% over during the offseason? Somebody better versed in CBA Jargon would know |

Hiding in the bunker with Steve Carlton.
But if that bastard can stop pucks, I don't care if he wears tinfoil on his head driving to the rink |

Maybe. Ever had one of those moments where everything made sense, and then just as quickly it vanished and the world was confusing and frightening again?
That's what happened to me, and I fear it's gone forever.

it's fascinating for a minute and then it becomes unbearable - Don'tForgetTocchet
I go straight to "unbearable."
How can anyone be angry on draft day when you are picking 18-year-olds? None of whom, after the first few picks, are reasonably expected to make the NHL roster?
Yeah, I might have a preference. But I do not understand rage over this stuff. It'll be years -- YEARS -- before we know! YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just today, the person who runs THG, the site that JSaq writes for, tweeted that the Flyers' 2012 draft is looking SWEET. And it is! Just one year after some people wanted to throw themselves off a cliff because they didn't know who Scott Laughton was! JUST ONE YEAR LATER!
I love reading this board when we're debating things that we can actually look back upon and see cause and effect. But Samuel Morin isn't even 18 yet! I have no idea what he's going to do in the NHL -- if he even makes it!
No clue! None whatsoever! And I've been watching the Flyers and the NHL for 36 YEARS! Why? BECAUSE HE'S 17 YEARS OLD!
How can anyone be angry? It makes no sense whatsoever! NONE! |

Kinda. That extra 10% covers Pronger's cap hit, but teams without an injured albatross on their payroll have a bit more flexibility during the off-season to sign first and worry about trades later.
At least that's the way I read it. |

I said it before, I would really like it if Thomas signs. I like his comments.... At least the ones I heard like not wanting to go to White House.... I wouldnt either. |

When did people start to believe Ghost had a good chance to make the NHL at some point. It seemed like he was picked in the third round then the next day he was a steal - PhillySportsGuy
For me, it was the Flyers' prospect camp last summer. He was SO much better than every defenseman there with the exception of Manning (who is considerably older and already had AHL/NHL experience). |

While Bryz was dreaming of the Stars, Thomas actually went there. |
