His age is actually still in the prime for defenseman of his ilk historically. I'm not a big Subban fan so I'm probably biased, but I wouldn't even talk to Montreal about Keith for Subban unless there was something else substantial from the Habs. The "Hangover" will probably be worse this year due to the shortened off season. But as far as motivation to win, I think that as long as 19 wears the C, this team will reflect his incredible desire to be a champion

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I'm not a big DK fan since his Norris year and have been a big Subban fan for 3 years now. .....and all I'm saying is that if the right deal were to present itself to get bigger, younger, tougher and solve the PP issue, I wouldn't be opposed to it in the least. I really don't think the Canadiens would even entertain the Keith/Subban thing unless we loaded them up with young talent like TT and probably much more. Sad but true.

Oh I'm over it. This team could win next year with the right tweaks. Toews and Kane are just entering their primes. Barring something major I see two cups in the next five

Probably right.......... but I'd feel much more confident in that if we had a kick-ass QB for the PP and a creative #2 Center.

I like your thinking, but that likely prices Roszival out of a Hawks sweater.

Rosey's opinion of staying/going you just heave to wonder.,,

He took such a beating and this was his first Cup, right?

So, he is 35 in September, and when I started going to games that was when defensemen were starting their prime, but a different game so much more North-South and no five man coverages.

This is a guy who when the Rangers decided they needed him, pay FIVE mil a year for four years.

Does he want to win again?

Or does he want to go soemwhere else?

I could see how teams would now view him as a favorable option, and if he is looking for soem last deal, with the shrunking Cao he may not find it excpet for a team that is forced to spend more to get their Cap UP to the mininum...

i would feel better if he did, but they ARE hot give Left Sider Ryan Stanton a chance too...

Eklund reporting Emery is close to re-signing in Chicago. Anyone else heard/read anything?
- FredoXV

Yes, everyone here thought Raanta WAS the back-up and would be fine with it but when Crawford is hurt, and the kid suddenly is the guy, and he fails, you miss the chance of a playoff return (that is beer, booze, hot dogs popcorn, where they DO make money...)
I think Ray Emery wants to play.
It comes down to if his conditions are such that being part timer is better to play longer.

But think about it: iF the Islanders offered YOU a nice contract to be the guy, wouldn't you go?
