Yes, and based on that, Pronger does not need to go on LTIR. The Flyers can get over 8M of available Cap space by placing Pronger on LTIR. But they should avoid that if they can. - MJL
That's good. So basically they can trade Meszaros for a draft pick, and keep the current roster in tact, and have the cap space to bring a goaltender in? |

Honestly, if they win a cup this year..IF.. they did, it wouldn't matter what happend the next half a decade. People will still be drunk in 2018 from it. - Deasr1
yea 1 cup is worth it all.
i still don't agree with the carter/richards trade. you guys made the SCF with them and haven't done poop since while they won the cup. idk...holmgren makes a lot of moves but rarely do they result in good things for the club. |

I like it.
For all intents and purposes, Lecavlier replaced Briere, at less of a cap hit.
That, on its own, is a great move.
But the other shoe will drop, I'm just wondering if it is a Richards/Carter size shoe, or a JVR one. |

Why Nurse when you can go for Jones? With Weber Nashville can afford to make kind of move much more. |

I think at this point they have their next superstar... Weber is expandable and they can market the poop out of jones...and jones won't cost the 14 mill lol |

Those trades are in the past. And who do you think made the moves to build that team that went to the Finals? The rebuild or whatever you want to call it is a process. That is not finished.

Exactly -- their cap issues have always been overstated -- Streit and Lecavalier combined make less that Briere and Bryzgalov did, on the cap, by what...$3 million?
By definition, the Flyers have GAINED money on the cap, from the end of the season until now -- and still have money to move with Meszaros.

That's plenty. I just read Lecavalier is 6m for this year. That's salary though right? Not cap hit. I defer all cap hit questions to you. You do have an excellent understanding of the salary cap. |

idk i think they would LOVE a defense of weber, jones, josi, klein, gill, ellis in front of rinne. hands down the best defense in the entire league. |

With the new CBA and cap recapture rules I think interest in Weber throughout the league has probably taken a bit of a hit. |
