Literally, though, that dubious distinction goes to Jody Shelley.

Playing in a fourth line role will do more for him than playing in JRs IMO. Time for him to make the jump. He will likely see about 11 minutes a night. - jak521
Actually, the scenario I was speaking to had Laughton potentially on a 5th line or in the press box. |

I agree
Hartnell-Giroux-Voracek
Schenn-Lecavalier-Simmonds
Laughton-Couturier-Read
McGinn-Talbot-Rinaldo
Or just swap Laughton/Talbot
either way I really like it. Lots of size, skill, grit, and players with the flexibility to play either wing/center, move up and down lines as needed. - moylander
Vinny should be making his decision today or Wednesday. |

Agreed, he will get some PK time and some valuable experience. I really don't see how a 4th year of junior helps at this point and he's not eligible for the AHL, so it seems like the best solution to me. |

I think either way Lecavalier adds size and a skill set the Flyers dont have at Center right now. I would add him no-doubt. After the less then spectatcular draft, we still have a need to replace Timonen next season, and I think moves have to be made this season. Whether its Phaneuf or (gulp) Byfuglien or Pietrangelo, I think they will make a deal. We will be a team to compete next year, unless homer once again misses while swinging for the fences. - youarewrong
There wasn't any player in the draft that could immediately replace Timonen in the Flyers lineup. |

Avy/loc explanation, please. - Flyskippy
Dark Souls joke, it's a really gothic looking action RPG. There's a multiplayer feature where you can literally invade another player's game and plunder their humanity (leaving them as a lowly zombie). |

He's the league leader.
1.) Crosby
2.) Ribeiro
3.) Brad Marchand
4.) David Clarkson
5.) Matt Cooke |

True, even Jones isn't really a sure thing. Sure he will be an NHL defenseman, but is he a guaranteed #1 guy? Who knows. JayBo went into his draft year being called the next Dennis Potvin, while he is a very good player, he ain't Potvin.
Defensemen and goalies are NEVER sure things. The only can't miss players in this draft were MacKinnon, Barkov and Drouin and that's why they were the top 3 picks. |

I don't care about the politics as much as I care about what it would mean for Steve Mason... and an entire year off for a guy who wasn't a physical specimen to begin with? No thanks. - Tomahawk

Can you guys see a secenario in which Giroux would move to Vinny's wing?
Hartnell-Lecavalier-Giroux
Schenn-Couturier-Voracek
Gagne-Laughton-Simmonds
McGinn-Talbot-Rinaldo
Read and Coby moved for a top D-man. |

Why would Edmonton do that if they didn't want to trade the 7th pick straight up for him |

I have a feeling the Flyers are going to sign a younger goalie who can grow with this team like Khudobin or Montoya or my best guess is Thomas Greiss |

It would be smart of them to wait things out and try to scoop someone up later in free agency at a discounted rate. That's not really the Flyer way though |

Move b schenn to wing. Make the move this year - Just5
But getting Vinny gives us the possible option of trading for Timmonens replacement without leaving the cupboards bare. |

I'd be down with that but wouldn't mind them going after a more seasoned backup netminder - Johan Hedberg and the like? Cheaper cap hit than a Tim Thomas and his facebook pages as well as keeping the status quo of Mason holding the reins in the crease for Philly moving forward. |
