Yes to a top 10 pick in Philly? - youarewrong
I think the Flyers want to give Schenn one more chance to take the #2 center role. Once he's moved to wing, his value goes down substantially. |

Can you guys see a secenario in which Giroux would move to Vinny's wing?
Hartnell-Lecavalier-Giroux
Schenn-Couturier-Voracek
Gagne-Laughton-Simmonds
McGinn-Talbot-Rinaldo
Read and Coby moved for a top D-man. - youarewrong
Absolutely not. No chance. |

I'd be down with that but wouldn't mind them going after a more seasoned backup netminder - Johan Hedberg and the like? Cheaper cap hit than a Tim Thomas and his facebook pages as well as keeping the status quo of Mason holding the reins in the crease for Philly moving forward. - Pixote Andolini
you can find a better backup than Hedberg |

Moving Schenn to the Wing would not affect his value as a trade peice in any way.

Teams still know he can play center and wing. Flexibility. |

He would then be a guy who could play either center or wing. |

I think he will look more like a player who failed at center and had to move to wing.
I would rather have him start the year at center and see if he can produce. If the season is halfway over and he hasn;t taken the reigns then i'm all for it. |

So once the Flyers play Schenn at Wing, he can never be moved back to the Center position? |

No. He's only 34. Too young. |

Why sign Ference? Grossmann is too good to come off the bench. Might as well just keep MAB as your 7th and save the money for the trade deadline. |

Seems about right. Fitting this into the cap really shouldn't be a challenge. With vinny on board. The flyers will have some tough decisions to make about the future after this year. Their not scared of that.
Bring me vinny except of he's demanding a full NMC |

I think it would come across more as he wasn't the best center option for the Flyers, than he outright failed at center. But that's just me. |

Why would Edmonton do that if they didn't want to trade the 7th pick straight up for him - PhillySportsGuy
because their draft is a joke...their blue line is in dire need of a shutdown defender. |

I would see it as a young guy that was moved to make room for an all-star center. I would see it as a young guy that was too good to move in the bottom 6 center spot, so they moved him to wing... how about that? |

It depends what kind of year he has. If he breaks out playing wing, then it won't matter. |

Vinny is not an all star center anymore. I think many people on this board are remembering him from a long time ago. |

Counting on Grossmann and Meszaros to be healthy is fools gold. They have to have a contingency plan. |
