Look, I dont know who is or who isnt an expert. I figure that they're on a NHL Hockey Station. They have been a part of the NHL. They report on the sport so they must know more then Me!

Not really. In level of importance I'd say a goalie, then a top 4, then a top 6. We can live without a top 6 and hope one of either Nelson or Strome work out. They have to be given a chance anyway.

Any goalie we get we're likely only going to want for two years, three max...which leaves Miller out, IMO.....plus, I don't want to trade for a goalie when we can sign Emery, for example. I'd also at least like to see them talk to Scuderi. There are also several wingers who are only going to cost money. If they can get Scuderi, Emery and anyone who is an upgrade on the wing through FA, and keep the rest of the prospects, that would be the ticket.

Just to make it clear from the discussions a couple of weeks ago: I didn't want Garth to trade any of our blue chippers, other than Nino (who, no matter what anyone in the organization says, was CLEARLY more of a pain in the a$$ than he was worth- you don't trade that level of prospect for a third line banger if that's not the case), for ANYTHING LESS than a true superstar. I wasn't being flippant about dumping our prospects for just any defenseman- Shea Weber is an ELITE player. If we're not getting an ELITE player, no thanks.

Vanek and Miller do NOT qualify in that regard. I'd rather just take a shot at buying a couple of items off the rack than include the likes of a Strome or Reinhart in a trade for those guys, any day of the week.
