Per TSN:
Kekalainen told the Columbus Dispatch that a scoring forward is definitely on his shopping list, but that they're more interested in skill over size.
“If you ask anybody, they'd take a 6-5 guy who scores 30 goals over a 5-8 guy who scores 30 goals,” Kekalainen told Aaron Portzline of the Dispatch. “But me personally, I prefer the small guys who play with big heart to the big guys who are less passionate.”

really can be fun to watch when he's on his game. so (frank)in sneaky around and behind the net.
just a shame that he's so much more productive at center, where's he's a defensive liability - Crimsoninja
i don't think anyone here doubt his skill and what he can contribute to a team, even at his age. it's just that the thought of another sub 5'10 forward is rather sickening. |

@Real_ESPNLeBrun: Nathan Horton visiting an NHL team/city today. He'll end up with a non-traditional hockey market I think. Wants quieter life
Don't think that's gonna happen. |

He misses JVR obviously.
He's kinda like Savard with Kessel. Just never the same player. |

Eric, how hard do you think MTL will go after a guy like Horton? Also, do you believe that Ribiero might be a good fit to come back as the Habs new #1 centreman?
You mentioned Hendricks. Any other guesses on who they might go after? - MadManPaddy
I don't think Horton wants to play in a big market. As far as I know, the Canadiens don't have any interest in Mike Ribiero.

I think his wife wants to go somewhere with better weather and more opportunities for herself. I can see him going west, and while I don't know the teams cap situations I could picture going to LA, SJ, or Anaheim something like that. |
