4 each? What does everyone think razor will get? Giroux, while worth it, just got paid. I was hoping it would be less. - coffee junkie
I was thinking it would be 2 each? We will find out tommorow |

Unnecessary to advise us of that. It's a deal breaker for Homer if not included in his contracts. - 77rams
so true.
But Giroux's new cap hit will be for the 14-15 season right? That's when Timonen's salary will come off the books. |

I still believe if they move Coburn, somehow they are getting back a better d-man for his slot. Although to accomplish this change, doesn't necessarily mean Coburn will be involved to acquire his replacement in my opinion. |

They have spent really no assets to make changes to the roster this offseason other then cap dollars. I have a few theories, crazy ideas actually. I really never thought they could or would be able to sign Vinny. I think that deal opens up a lot of possibilities now. |

dream scenario- meaning unrealistic- would be to back up the truck and unload enuf to pry bogo from WPG. don't see us going the offer sheet route though... |

Razor got paid $1.5 million for the Hawks. I have to believe he will get at least $2.3-$2.5 for at least two years, no more then three. |

I'm slightly disappointed Holmgren couldn't get a deal that was slightly below market value for Giroux. IMO, Giroux isn't worth the cap hit he will get and the Flyers will regret it. I like Giroux a lot but I just don't think he's at the top tier. If it were up to me, Giroux would get Richard/Carter'ed before his NMC kicks in. |

I agree it won't be the offer sheet route. G and Vinny are the top 2 centers for easily the next 3 years presumably. In theory, you have 3 guys capable of filling the third center spot long-term. For me, the 4th line center should be a vet with a strong defensive presence and face-off ability (ie - Hall, and those guys usually can be found pretty easily and rather cheaply). They have assets to move that teams covet. |

I'm starting to believe one of the young guys (Schenn or Couturier) are about to be traded. I'm cool with it if it gets them a great return. |

I thought an 8.25 hit might come with a limited ntc
Guess not. Your right. I don't like the deal.
The flyers brass in a sense want to believe he's worth that. Not much squeezing going on |
