I bet he gets close to 6 from pretty much anybody interested. Edm being a non desirable location for a list of reasons forces them to overpay a bit. As I said I like him but he is gonna get stupid money.
Hell look at what Bickell got. Guy is at best an average 3rd liner who got hot in the play offs. 4 mill is terrible IMO

I'm not being rude but its the playoffs and 2 cups. He was a beast in their last playoff run. He earned it or close to it anyway. Sh!t Clowe wants more and he hasn't even helped a team into the 2nd round.

He's a good player, but with the situation the Canucks were in, and the fact that he is somewhat redundant with Hansen already signed to a better deal, $2m/season was the absolute max I would have gone, and that would be without the NTC.

Even then, I'm not jumping at that deal if I'm the Canucks.

MacT gives a good BJ. Joking aside Ballard had excellent hip check beyond that he wasn't consistent.

I think you are thinking of somebody else. Bickell played 4 games and had an assist in their 1st cup run. Not even sure he played enough that yr to get his name on the cup.
