Flyers apparently were in very much so on Scuderi before be went to the Penguins. I know this board would be split, but consider me happy we didn't get him. Next defenseman we get I want is young and can move the puck. We've got a lot of stay at home types (even though Scuds has mobility).

I expect we'll be getting a Dman back in whatever trade goes down for Coburn, Read, and/or Coots. I can't even imagine what how big of an upgrade that kind of package could get us for the blue line

Penguins have about 30 cents worth of cap space remaining and several RFAs to sign. Hard to imagine trade isn't coming at some point.

We've got him for 5 years so I'd say go for it. It'd be another thing if it was a 1 year deal.
