Hate to say it but Gags is done for us. Cheaper younger is the new NHL and I think best for us going forward.

Idk Brodie, Baertchi, Gaudreau, and Reinhart in a package is too much but it's the only thing I would give coots up for considering a top tier defensive prospect isn't coming back.

Not saying he's worth more than a 1st, but it's going to have to be more/different than that. I don't see the Flyers moving Coburn and not getting back a lower-cost, younger roster player in the process.

Actually Rinaldo took a huge step last year and turned from a guy who gets many penalties called on him, to a much sneakier guy who draws many penalties. Imo he's the best bottom 6 agitator in the league just because he doesn't take penalties, he draws them.

Oh i know hes gotten better, but one out of every three of those big hits he delivers earns him a charging call, even though he could not take a stride for 25 feet and still he gets called for it cause he hits so hard. He did do a much better job at taking calls this past year.

Never a guarantee, but that would be a great value return for Coburn. I just don't know how a team everyone expects to see in the playoffs deals a top-4 dman for a draft pick when they already have question marks on D. If you could guarantee me Meszaros and Grossmann would both be 100% for the season, I could get on board. But that ain't happening.

Looking at some of these deals getting handed out today, if anybody thought I supported Paul Holmgren before, I've doubled down.

Ryane Clowe for $4.85 million a season? For five years? For three goals and 16 points?

David Clarkson for seven years? At just shy of $6 million per?

And people complained about Scott Hartnell's six year at $4.75 million? Seriously? David Clarkson's getting SEVEN YEARS.

I think Paul Holmgren doesn't get nearly enough credit. Not nearly enough.
