Interesting I thought you had to pass waivers even on those two-way deals. I thought it was determined by how many games you had played. But I'm not an expert. - FlyersGrace
Yeah, I don't think either is waiver exempt. Neither is Gustafsson or (I think) MAB. |

If they have to they can put Pronger on LTIR day one, no need to send Schenn down. - FlyersGrace
But they need to be cap compliant day 1 before the LTIR right? |

The Wings moves? Yes. When does Holland do something dumb? Not very often. - PLindbergh31
Weiss is okay.
Alfie is old.
Nice additions though. |

Alfie only one year. He's still good. Weiss will be good in Detroit. |

Im not 100% on that either, just always thought if you were on a two way deal you could be sent down without clearing waivers or anything. |

You have to think there is something happening with the d. What would they trade Couts to Calgary for? |

The kid isn't a secret tho.
Calgary wouldn't split with that draft pick, they where they stand talent wise at the moment. - zah26
You'd think they wouldn't but I wouldn't put it below Feaster. He's a pretty bad GM. |

Paul Holmgren gets slammed a lot for trading Bobrovsky in the offseason and the Bryzgalov thing but he signed the best player available (Lecalvier) for 4.5 mil, the best goalie available (Emery) for 1.6 mil, and the best available offensive defenseman (Streit) which they had to give fair money to but they still got him. I think if they can add a top scoring winger through trade they'll be contenders again. |

Not that I saw. I'm sure Carchidi or one of his merry men will be all over it like a lamp shade when it goes down. |

Pretty sure we have 10% over the cap in the summer - right up until day 1 of the season but hurt players count, Wellwood, Pronger, etc. Then day one we can flip to LTIR if we need it and stay compliant.
There are some negatives to using LTIR so if we don't need to use it that's preferable. |

Wait.. why do they need a top winger when they already have two? |
