Idk he hasn't shown that so far. Streit was no home run, more like a double
Same with Emery. Thomas was a "home-run" move you personally might expect from Homer, but he went with the safer, and frankly probably smarter option of Emery. - JAKEw1234
emery is the safest, and in my opinion, best overall signing for the prospective return on value he has this year. could be a very underrated move |

Horton deal is ridiculous...he's a good player but I always thought he was a bit overrated for all his injuries he constantly endures. Lucic is a hell of a player who I'd love to have (yes, I know he's not a UFA). But I'm glad Columbus got better...they should be exciting to watch. As for the flyers, they got the best goalie available for their situation and for a bargain price. And we resigned the BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD! G!!!!! for 8 more years!! I like the moves. Now....Coots, Coburn, Read, for Byfuglien and Kane. I would love that. Byfuglien is just coming into his own as dman, I'm a big believer in him.

The thing I like is he's coming into it with the attitude that he wants to make Mason better. He said he thinks the best goalie tandem is one that works off one another, so he's going to help Mason in any way he can with his game, and try to learn some things from Mason himself. Emery's already made the first move and has invited mason to skate and work out with him this summer. |

thats good for you guys. ive yet to hear any possible grain of information that could make me view that signing as anything less than a good one.
although i have to say, im still a little confused as to trying to figure out if that post above me was serious or not. i understand enthusiasm for your guys, but still |

Maybe Byfuglien is coming into his own as a future Wing Bowl champ. He is undisciplined on and off the ice. He has a questionable work ethic concerning his fitness level. He is good offensively, but mediocre at best defensively. That's a player that the Flyers should stay away from. Not what they need.

Apologies to all the NBA fans in advance. But I find it unwatchable. I grew up watching the great NBA action of the late 70's and 80's. What they have today, is a far cry from that. It's a shame. - MJL
Absolutely agree. Basketball has gotten so bad. American football isn't far behind either in terms of a game that has gotten worse. The worst thing about American football is that the advert agencies have turned the NFL game into a perfect storm of marketing. |

5 seconds of gameplay action in a handoff, tackle and whistle. Now go buy crappy watered down american beers and cars. |

I had a conversation with a Tampa fan today. I told him that it was odd that Tampa would buy out Vinny's big contract just to sign Filpula to a big contract. He went on to tell me that Filpula is a better player than Vinny. I tried to tell him politely that he's delusional if he actually thinks that, and cited some stats over the past few years to prove my point. But he was convinced that Tampa got a better player at a cheaper price. He also insisted that Danny Briere was much better than Vinny, and I continued to insist that he's just not correct, and again cited stats, but he had already convinced himself. He has no respect for his former captain, and I hope all Tampa fans aren't like that. - JAKEw1234

Alfredsson left Ottawa because he didn't feel he could win a Cup there. According to Bryan Murray, they never talked $$, Alfredsson just talked about winning the Cup. - Jsaquella
Yes. He left for a place he might have a better chance to win a cup. And your point is? Anyone can move. No matter the reason. |
