It deoesn't have to neccesarily block Donovan. We have no depth on D. Scuderi would be a huge upgrade for us. Snow doing his usual nothing during FA routine. Addressing his goalie vacancy with someone who IMO cost us a playoff victory is crappy. - Cptmjl
Scuderi of 3-4 years ago would have been a huge upgrade. I don't think any of you have been paying attention to where he is now. He's like Mark Eaton, only a bit younger and a bit faster. Regier is slow and old and LA valued him higher, what does that tell you?
Pass. |

why would you get rid of Hickey? He was arguably one of our top two puck moving defensemen last year (and I'm including LV in that, Streit was crap) and he's young. In return you add a slow, defense only Scuderi that doesn't hit for more money. Crazy. - Isles_since_6
Because hes mediocre at best |

Peter Regin isn't our big addition up front, is he? BD gallof says "playmaking potential". Really? 3 assists in 27 games. Gotta be a depth player for b-
port. I am happy Nabby is back. Better than overpayment in a trade for one. - Jethro09
The guys 27 yrs old isnt he? Potential? When?
Tell me in January if your still happy with Nabby. He ran out of gas after 40 or so games last season and IMO was the main reason we didnt upset a very vulnerable Pittsburgh team. |

I'd wager he'd be given every opportunity to make the team. We've said before a few times these signings are "depth for BPort" (Aucoin, Pandolfo come immediately to mind), but they end up on the Isles. Not a horrible thing, imo, if the competition for the roster spot is legitimate. If the prospects can't outplay this guy in camp, then they probably don't deserve a spot on the Isles. |

I think this is Poulin's year to make it happen. Nabby will be splitting time with him this year. If he works out I could see Nabby Shipped at Deadline and bringing up one of the other kids. |

The best thing you read about Regin on Twitter is that he comes from the same home town as Fran's Nielsen. That's the best they can come up with for this guy. |

It's about timing UIF. You do not sign this guy when FA just started. You focus on the more impact guys. Regin can wait. Who else is signing him? |

Then hopefully our prospects have no problem beating him out for the spot. |

I'm fine eith the Nabby signing. Time to find out what Poulin is made of. Emery knew he was goung to Philly days ago.
This market sucks. Very little out there.. Soon to come will be the Miro returns rumors.
It's Groundhog Day!

Re signing Nabby is Better than doing something stupid like trading prospects and picks for Miller or adding Luongo. Hiller and Halak probably are too pricy too, hence why they haven't been moved. |

kinda like how everyone thought the pens getting Douglas Murray was going to make it harder to play against them, until they saw how slow he was an how ineffective he was. Your opinion. Mine is different. I'm also not the one losing his poop 1 hour into free agency. Maybe you guys like stress.
