I'm not crazy about it either. I like that the Isles are staying away from a lot of these guys. I would have made a serious run at Weiss and Scuderi of course. It is what it is. - ses111

Do we dare bring up the name Iginla??? - jimmc7722
Unless there is a trade made at some point between now and the start of the season, the Isles are most likely done with their moves.
Bouchard is a decent player. Regin was for B-port, I think the Clutterbuck trade will make us harder to play against and we have one more year of Nabby. I certainly dont think we got worse, just marginally better.
For any of you who thought the Isles were going to give these B players top dollar then your head wasn't in the right place. Clowe/Horton/Clarkson/Streit contracts are simply ridiculous. The owners should look at themselves and ask why the lockout truly happened. |

When I see Clowe getting all that money, I have to think that Bouchard is a good deal. It's one year...he cannot be worse than Boyes. - dcb1
I'm good with no Horton. The big difference though is Horton has done something in this league and Bouchard has not. |

Clutterbuck and Bouchard will play together on the third line!!!
Maybe Grabner is being moved???
Or Bailey??? - jimmc7722
Yeah. We haven't improved at all might as well make the team worse. What the hell. |

We are an eighth seed if anything right now. With re alignment even that might be a stretch |

I cant believe Devils sign Clowe for $5 mill and Clarkson signs in Toronto for a little over $5 mill per season.

At least these teams are filling holes and trying to improve. |

im not saying MP Bouchard and Nathan Horton are the same player by any stretch but the double standard is incredible!!
Everyone was getting wet over the idea bringing in horton who has a laundry list of prior injuries...of course once the isles sign someone, its a terrible signing bc of is his prior injuries.
gotta love it - LetsGoIsles

You just went off the deep end. There are no FA's that will won't to sign with a club that doesn't try to improve. Would you want too? We just resigned a goalie in desperation who lost us a winnable round in the PO's last year. |

DP appears to have been the big move. Not giving up all hope yet. If the kids work out and the team can make the playoffs it's all good. If the Isles fall back and miss the playoffs, there will be hell to pay. |

On a team that operates within the normal parameters of reality, he's a 2nd liner at best.
If this is Garth's answer to JT's right wing, we will be fighting hard to gain 8th seed. Remember, NJ & Philly will be better than last season.
This team has only improved slightly with Clitterbuck addition.
We never get christmas in July..... - jmo16
The teams who do normally have broken toys by December. It's a lot better to evaluate haves and needs at the trade deadline than to try to do that when your squad hasn't laced a skate in anger in couple of months, especially when everyone is throwing around stupid money. I'm good with today, given how it shook out so far. Would like to see one more d-man in here by training camp, but this is alright. |

2nd line on the Isles.
All the numbers are big. It's wild and crazy day - SCLI
Absolutely. We will have Nielsen as our second line center. We are now three seasons removed from Snow telling the world that he is not a second line center and it was his job to fill that position but you can bet on Nielsen being our second line center. |

Than why even make the comment? Because of injuries? That's a bad analogy, any team would be more apt to take a chance with a better player of course. |

You can live with Weiss on the 2nd line. - ses111
Sarcasm. In reference to Boyes and Rolston being 1st line forwards! Neilsen in the 2nd line roll instead of where he belongs on the 3rd.
I think hes (Weiss is a nice player but really, I dont know a whole lot about him.

Unless our D suddenly becomes good and Nabby plays better than any of us expect we are not an eighth seed |
