Yea I really think they have a chance at getting #1 seed. I like the Ryan move and think they are well-coached and play really well as a team. If anything, I predict they will be in the top 4 in EC in points. They could battle Boston like Montreal did this season- even though they will also have to deal with Detroit too - sulshawn
I don't know about Ottawa being number one but stranger things have happened. They surprised many last season. I will make a bold statement as sell. I think a healthy Jason Spezza will do what he did for Dany Heatley. Spezza will help Ryan get career numbers. |

Id rather try and steal Tyler Myers out of buffalo. He has disapointed there the last few seasons so you might be able to get him cheaper and work with him. - ShayneHirter

i'd absolutely be interested if the price was reasonable. it wouldn't be though
i just don't think they've soured on him enough to sell (relatively) cheap |

Holmgren will clear cap space before that most likely. I don't think Gagne is a necessity on this team. We have plenty of young guys like Laughton, Akeson, Mcginn who can play on the 3rd/4th lines. Signing Gagne is more a benefit to Gagne and his fans than for the Flyers. - phillydentist
I'd sell Akeson high in a deal if at all possible. I don't see how he plays top 6 minutes on this team unless there really is a slew of injuries but many have detailed his defense, while gotten better, is still significantly below whats needed in the NHL |

We have youth. The Flyers are one of the younger teams in the league. There is nothing wrong with having some veteran seasoning. Simon Gagne is a proven winner who has a Cup, a gold medal and has scored big goals in his career. Gagne can benefit the Flyers. The Flyers wouldn't have a mutual interest in signing Gagne if there was nothing in it for them. The Flyers are trying to build a Cup Winning Team! |

for me its Grossman, slow and concussed - vejim
I would move on from him to. Not sure who would take a stab at him
Out of the group of 3. Grossman is the most replaceable with lauridsen/mab |

I feel like he's also made all 5 predictions after I had already read the same ones from more credible guys. He also said Emery would be a multi-year deal (which I did read they discussed) at a little less than 3 mil per |

And I think that's why they're struggling with him, as I think he wants slightly north of 7 mil, and he's only 23. No 23 year old gets that kind of money on their second contract. |

The Emery deal is the bargain of the century. $1.65 MM for a guy that went 17-1? I don't care who is playing in front of you. 17-1 is ridiculous. - section32[/img]

Erik Karlsson got $6.5M. His offense is world class, but Pietrangelo's the more complete defenseman.
Edt: Tyler Myers is 1/2 of Pietrangelo, and he got $5.5M on his. |

Stud defenseman. I would have no problem signing him for seven years. Take him until he's 30 before his next deal. Get it done. |

Emery will go perfect (except for the All Star game) in 9th inning save opportunities? |
