Poor Gagne - always the bridesmaid...
I knew it would stay quiet over the weekend. Hoping it livens up today though.
Sorry I haven't been around, works been insane, the dog hospice has been in full swing, and to top it off my fiancee's mom is in ICU... GREAT week for me! - FlyersGrace
it's been a busy week for all of us last week...
add the heat to the mix, it's just awful.
now it's just wait and see time with the Flyers.
hope your mom in law to be gets well soon... |

I'd rather make "John Leclair is fat" jokes than debate "When does the middle of the first round of the draft start?". - johndewar
That's exactly why I left it at "oh boy" |

Pronger went right onto the Whalers' roster
- Flyskippy
Didn't Holmgren draft Pronger when he was GM of the Whalers? |

jagr cracks me up
i picture him turning down all sorts of offers lol - Crimsoninja
He doesn't seem to care about the actual money. He wants a certain amount because he feels it will assure him a top 6 role. |

Ditto. Was happy that it became relevant again when he was re-acquired. I also have a Team Sweden Renberg in storage somewhere. - Flyskippy
if not for Brodeur he is rookie of the year. |

After putting up zero goals in 22 playoff games, he should demand a top 3 role. |

as noted...don't bother...
it's another post a comment and see a question in return
Hockeybuzz Law and Order
Bryz is lost in space
Gagne waiting to see if cap space is made - phi1671
The last sentence should say it all about Gagne. If he's willing to wait for a contract.just to stay, why wouldn't you want such a player on this team? Simon Gagne still makes sense and a contract between 2-2.5 million is more then fair. Anything less then 3 years is also fair. I would only go 2 years myself. |

I think so.
Guess who one of Pronger's first coaches was in the NHL?

I'd like to see some nunbers to back this up.
Regardless, it really doesn't have anything to do with the conversation. However you want to rate them, they are still more infinitely qualified then we are in players avaluations. So I don't know how a any poster can think that they know better then the professional talent evaluators who work for the Flyers. - MJL
I know you will jump all over this, but based on the numbers, I half-believe that there are a bunch of posters and certainly someone like Bill that could likely do as well armed with ISS rankings and reading scouting reports. Call it MoneyPuck, but it suggests that the "gut" feel of our professional scouts might not be any better than a good analyst a la Theo Epstein. |

I only asked that because I could see snider and most of fan base going bezeerk if we miss playoffs next 2 years. Me personally wouldn't care as long as core Was improving and there were factors such as injuries contributing to us missing playoffs. But could see people calling fir heads and team getting blown up |

With the addition of Nicushkin and Seguin, the Stars are now a team i'd like to watch. They were pretty much the opposite before that. |

It would be funny watching him negotiate with french canadians. They are probably bickering over whether Jags should be allowed to have a key to the practice facility for his late night workouts. |

"jaromir, this is a really good deal, im serious, please cons--"
then jagr just puts his finger to his mouth "shhhh" takes the phone and gently hangs it up |
