Thats cuz he playes top pair minutes when he isnt a top pair defenseman.

In watching some highlight vids of him on youtube, you may be right. I just wish that they wouldn't be wasting years of a young Tavares (and his contract) and not getting the maximum for both. A top flight winger who can just consistently finish would be an absolute FORCE with Tavares.

It helped me... Im really bad at looking up player stats with google.

Poulin hasn't looked the same since he had the freak knee injury. Which he has had in both knees now. Nabby wasn't good in playoffs but the isles defense didn't help him much and Pitt scored a lot of freak goals. Not making total excuses but my bigger worry is the isles defense. Lubo, hamonic are the only two d men that make most NHL rosters right now. Strait and carkner are a horror show, hickey has some positives but also some negative, and macdonald in my opinion is vastly over rated by the fan base. He is a giveaway machine. The isles need another steady d man or nabby will be getting hung out to dry nightly again

I don't think Strait was that bad. He was a monster in game 2 vs pitt. I wouldn't put him in the same class as Carkner or Finley. I think with a full season and if he stays healthy Strait might surprise some people.

I agree with you. I found his physical play needed on the back end and thought his skating was decent. I think he's going to show improvement this year and could be one of our most reliable defensemen.

I think Bouchard is going to surprise people. He will really help Tavares and moulson. He's very fast and shifty with the puck.

i feel the same way about Bouchard.

As for Poulin, we all share the same Nervousness and it is the make or break season for him. But if you nervous about Poulin that why we have Nilsson. He is pretty steady, Big goalie.

It was just announced that Cal Clutterbuck has agreed to terms on a FOUR-YEAR, $11 mill deal with the Islanders. I DID NOT see that coming. Cal is only 25-years-old.

I actually was beginning to think that Clutterbuck was more of a bargaining chip down the road. Maybe he still is. Maybe they really want to keep him. But... Wow.
