Sort of.

If a team is spending above the upper limit, they can't "bank" cap space to absorb the bonuses earned by players. That's why they will be carrying $182K in dead space this season, for Schenn & Couturier's bonuses last season.

By using LTIR, they didn't have enough space to apply those bonuses to last year's cap. They will likely face the same issue this year, because LTIR isn't free against the cap, it simply allows the team to spend over the cap for a given time period.

Here's a good blog on the subject

I have the new Punch Out for Wii... very very sad game. Bad remake.

I'm an Eagles fan too. But I root against them. If that makes any sense. Self-loathing Eagles fan perhaps.

Manning's trash I'd trade him while other teams still think he's a good prospect.
- JAKEw1234

I disagree with the decision to give him a qualifying offer, myself. I would have rather seen him signed to an AHL deal

Eric Lindros was once the best player in the world. Brandon Shanahan was once the best player on own team (Hartford 96-97). "Not getting hurt" preferable to excellence. ...reach for the stars, dreamers.
- broadstreet11

I think Lindros did more for the game of hockey that Geraldine Heaney. I'm sure she was a fine hockey player, but to me, she should be in the "builder" category, as Eric Lindros is a better hockey player than she was.

That's the awesome thing about our team, anyone in the top 9 (And McGinn and Akeson) could sufficiently play anywhere else in the top 9.

I think hartnell is downright ineffective in a 3rd line role playing with lesser mates

I literally didn't stop playing til I beat Tyson. Took a few months. In the recesses of my mind I probably have the code you could enter to go straight to Tyson.
- PLindbergh31

Tyson was insane, with the one hit knock downs in round one. Didn't get any easier from there. I've only seen it beaten once.

As for old Nintendo codes, I definitely still know the twenty button level select code from Super Empire Strikes Back by heart, even fifteen years later

I love twitter. I had to send a contract via fax one day, and my fax machine blew up, went to OfficeMax and sent a 34 page fax.

Lady rung me up and told me 64$. I laughed thinking she was kidding. I cried, paid my 64 dollars for a frigging fax. Took to twitter and was refunded 40$ by office max.

All because I told them I would never ever shop there again.

One of the best games of all time. Along with Final Fantasy Tactics, Breath of Fire 2, NHL 94, Zelda.

I could see him taking even more bad penalties as a third liner than he does as a first liner.

Was so frustrating. It took weeks to be able to get out of the first round. If he hit you 3 times the fight was over. Many an hour was wasted at school discussing Punch Out strategies. In hindsight, probably not the best use of time. Oh well.

There is a separate limit for female players than for male players. Her selection did not preclude Lindros getting in.

A "maxed out" HHoF ballot would include 4 male players, 2 female players, and either 1 builder and one ref/lineman, or 2 people in one of those two categories if nobody was nominated in the other category.

You can do the same with Comcast. They monitor social media. Just tear into them and you'll be receiving a call offering something to you.

Hartnell is a good player, good team mate, and a good off ice guy. However, he can be pretty dumb for long stretches of time.
