One of the best games of all time. Along with Final Fantasy Tactics, Breath of Fire 2, NHL 94, Zelda.
- Flyersgod

Great games, all, though if I could throw out a handful of additional suggestions to add to that, I'd point people to Final Fantasy VI and VII, Persona 3 and 4, Oblivion, Chrono Trigger, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, and Mega Man 2, 3, and 4.

When we win the cup this year, we should remember it was Hammerby (sp) that broke the jinx.

There is a separate limit for female players than for male players. Her selection did not preclude Lindros getting in.

A "maxed out" HHoF ballot would include 4 male players, 2 female players, and either 1 builder and one ref/lineman, or 2 people in one of those two categories if nobody was nominated in the other category.

Manning hasn't had anything close to the sustained success that Gustafsson has had. Gustafsson's biggest issue has been staying healthy. Manning's biggest issue has been poor play.

Was so frustrating. It took weeks to be able to get out of the first round. If he hit you 3 times the fight was over. Many an hour was wasted at school discussing Punch Out strategies. In hindsight, probably not the best use of time. Oh well.

If you think games like Punch Out were time consuming, you should see them now. I'm still a fan of video games, and I can barely manage to beat one per year! That's before considering the massive multiplayer dealies, yikes.

Eric Lindros was once the best player in the world. Brandon Shanahan was once the best player on own team (Hartford 96-97). "Not getting hurt" preferable to excellence. ...reach for the stars, dreamers.
- broadstreet11

It took Bure nearly 8 years to get in. Lindros will have his day IMO. Just wasn't today sadly.

The good old days, for sure. I can't solve the controls on any NHL past 96.

In between Atari, and Nintendo, did anyone have a video game called Magnavox Oddysey 2. I remember playing this game called Pic Axe Pete for like 20 straight hours in 1983.

I'm sure I would enjoy them, but it would turn to a level of stress if I didn't do well at them. Being I haven't played in 25 years I would suck.

I think Lindros was/is more deserving than both Neeley and Bure, though.

I fell in love with MMO's. I play rift now that it's free. Consumes free time I should spend on school.. but whatever... my degree will be useless in 2016 anyway.

Accountants...

Games today are usually not so much harder, just longer. You can run through Punch Out in 20 minutes if you are good. After years of not playing, I picked it up again earlier this year and was able to beat Tyson:

Could've TKO'd him, but I flubbed the end. Won anyway.

I find that people on all sides are biased to think the way they think. Liberals (the voters, not the politicians)...

This ain't the place. Anyway, let's congratulate Fred Shero for a long overdue honor. Freddie loved to look at the "fillums"

I personally think there is more bipartisanship now than ever before.
