C'mon with enough chemistry he could supplant Giroux top line just admit it.

I was wondering where you were. Homer insinuated that Schenn will be moved to wing. Is that going to impede his development.

Gagne can fit into any situation if need be. He can slip into any of the four lines, pp and ok. McGinn in my opinion is limit.
- dingo8urbaby

I agree. But I don't think at this point, that signing Gagne is a definite.

If Laughton makes the team it should be above the 3rd line. If he is to get 4th line time, I'd rather he go back to Oshawa.

Why? He is a defensive center with an agitating style. I would think the 4th line is the perfect starting point for him.

I hear you. But the only reason I'd be in favor of sending him back to Juniors is if he was going to be a frequent healthy scratch. I think that 8 minutes a game on the 4th line in the NHL, will better aid his development. Then a 4th Season in Juniors.

I think he'll get bored in Juniors. We know he can shutdown players and score a PPG there. It's time for a new challenge.

I feel the same way. Gagne and Read can be like the swiss army knives of the team. You need guys like that.

Neither do I but one can assume he's holding out for a reason. In my opinion Meszaros is no longer a fit unless we intend on stunting Gustafsson's growth. Meszaros out, Gagne in.

Mez is the only hockey player I worry about getting injured during the offseason.

I agree. Playing as a 4th year overager, against player that he is more physically mature then. Isn't going to do anything for him to improve as a player.

I don't think Gagne is holding out. I think the Flyers are holding out. I know they've discussed money. I think the Flyers have put signing Gagne on the back burner.

Apparently he gained 15 lbs. It will only make the OHL easier for him.

I, honestly, believe the AHL stunted the growth of Schenn and Couturier. I watched their games during the lockout and they looked so bored.

It was great to hear how well he did in the agility drills. Show he has some athleticism to his play. Instead of being one of those awkward somewhat uncoordinated big kids

It's possible. I do feel they have discussed terms with Gagne, and that if they can fit him in and move another contract or two out. I don't object to Gagne, just don;t seem him as a vital piece.

If you're saying that Gagne wants to play for the Flyers, I agree with that. I just think the Flyers are waiting to see if there are other moves available before committing to Gagne.

Might be one way to view it but I'd view it as the OHL will likely have the best to offer at the moment for the 2014 draft including a member of Oshawa that Laughton has played with so the competition won't be easy.

While we know he is solid defensively nothing could be hurt by him gaining even more confidence in juniors with his offense.

He has 2 eligible seasons left which would include an overage season.

Not suggesting they do it but if he's only going to get 6 minutes or so a night I'd rather he get 20 with Oshawa.

I think Gagne is more an important player then some choose to give credit. If we want to remain a deep team, we need Simon Gagne or someone like him at least. I suppose I just can't give Max Talbot enough credit of being a consistent 19 a season goal scorer or a consistent third line player. Talbot to me is a four line penalty killer with the ability to fill in on the third line.
