I'm quite sure he wants to play for the Flyers. But I feel if the Flyers were definitely going to sign him, it would be done already. - MJL
If no promises were made, I wouldn't wait if I were Gagne. |

There's enough leadership on this team already in my opinion. Flyers need to work some new youth into the lineup. - MJL
There are older fringe player who don't need spots on the roster and can be waived or moved to the Phantoms. I'd like to see a few of the younger players get more of a chance. I'm not seeing how holding onto Gervais and Rosehill makes this team better. I know Hall is responsible and can take faceoffs but he shouldn't be penned into the 4th line center role either. |

Thats like the 12th time... dammit
That pretty much makes Gags a non factor... hmmm - jak521
I wouldn't say it makes him a non factor. Hall will be solid centering the 4th line. Gagne still has a place. Nothing wrong with giving Laugton another year in Juniors. That is the route I would go with him. |

So who does it keep out of the lineup by signing Gags? McGinn? Im not sold on him anyway in a 4th line role . Rosehill?

I don't see how Jagr fits on this team. He's slow, plays very little defense and refuses to dump the puck in the offensive zone. Not scoring at all in the playoffs makes him completely unattractive to me. Plus we seem to be full in the top six and most importantly the right wing. - dingo8urbaby
I agree with you, but I guess Giroux just has a good feeling playing with him, makes him feel comfortable. |

The only problem I have with that, is that if he is truly ready for the NHL, sending him back serves no purpose. |

Signed the guest book, and proclaimed if "Annie" was around today she would have Bieber fever. Just dumb to make a comment like that. - PLindbergh31
That's not the qoute I read. I read it was like "Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber (or whatever his fans call themselves)" That's not exactly being disrespectful hoping she would have been his fan. Self centered, yes.
Edit: Ok, I'm defending Justin Bieber. Can we just forget this ever happened and move on? |

I don't think that's written in stone. I wouldn't be surprised if Hall is a part time player. |

The thing is, camp and a 9 game trial at the beginning of the season isn't a large enough sample to know if he's going to be NHL ready imo. Nothing wrong with him playing 18-20 minutes in juniors improving his game and building his confidence. Staying with the Flyers all season coming in and out of the lineup and playing 6-8 minutes of 4th line duty would stunt his progress. |

Turns out pretty far...

Good lord, I don't think anyone could look more douchey than this moron. The worst part is that his look is totally manufactured. They turn him IN TO this!!
Carcillo needs to give him a McSorley to the side of the head Brashear style. - MBFlyerfan
I cannot believe this kid is Canadian. Even worse, I cannot believe women younger and older alike love this kid. Like when he was 15 I know girls in their early 20's reach to throw their undergarments at him. |

Unless he shows up to camp and has just totally lost it, Hall should be penned into the 4th line Center role. A player with his skillset can make the FLyers a better team, and make other players on the team better. By putting players in the proper role. |

I dont think your very familiar with how business deals work. Even outside Hockey, Homer and Gagne talk. Homer says "We would like to bring you back, but we can't make an offer until we move out some salary. Pending any unforseen issues, would you accept a deal for X money, for Y years?" Gagne and agent says Yes that will be fine, we will wait, but we will be hearing other offers.
So is it a binding agreement, no. But I'm sure numbers and terms have been agreed upon, pending something happening.
Now between now and the time the deal is signed, anything could change. Gagne could get an offer he cant refuse if Homer wont match, which he wouldnt. Or Homer might not be able to make the space, or a deal might come down the line that would make Gagne unnecessary. But this is the nature of business deals. Dont take offense on this, but you tend to see things in black and white, right and wrong. Either a deal is in place, or it isnt. But there is gray areas, you have to be able to read between the lines. - youarewrong
Is that what it is? I'm not familiar with how business deals work?
Here's what I know about the business of the NHL. Maybe you know it, maybe you don't. But teams and players often meet for preliminary discussions on a contract. The players states his salary demands and what he's willing to play for. The team states it's side, how it is going to proceed, and how the team feels about re-signing the player. But until both sides sign on the dotted line. There is no deal, and nothing has been agreed upon. That's how the business of the NHL works.
And if you've been following and reading my posts, I've read between the lines and done exactly that. And I'm pretty confident my read on the situation is correct. And I am also intimately familiar with the NHL salary Cap, and the Flyers cap situation. |

It would, but I'd personally not sign Gagne at this point. I'd play Talbot on the 3rd line and give Laughton a spot on the 4th line. - MJL
If Laughton was able to be sent to the AHL then yes I would do it. I would keep him up for injury recall to play in the top 9. I would not use him as a 4th liner. Just not worth it when there are so many other options. |

So what you are saying is you agree with me. They likely worked out the terms, have an undestanding regarding timing, and are waiting for the right time and situation.

If Gagne signs for around 2 million that would leave the Flyers 1.6 million under the cap for recalls, and that is without Pronger LTIR. Its the best possible line-up. |

Maybe you should read what I wrote again. Because I clearly did not agree with you. If that's your read on it, I think you've got it wrong. I do not think that it's about timing. I think the Flyers have not decided if they're going to re-sign Gagne yet. |
