I wish thee just go back to seeding teams 1-16 no matter which conference. I'd personally love to see like a Philly/La playoFf series or pit/Ana. Plus sOmething like phi/pit cup series would Be out of this world
- SMS4016

That'd be interesting. It'd put an end to average teams making the playoffs because they play in an easy division.

Why no hall of fame talk?

Today could be the day for Shero or Lindros!

The main issue I have with the new divisions and playoff formatting is the East has 16 teams, the West 14. Right off the bat it's not an even playing field. It's markedly harder to make the playoffs in the East.

Dumb.

the divisions seemed designed to accommodate an expansion, which would be a joke.

You want the Cap to go up or down?

i want it to go away and never come back and let teams fold if they can't sustain themselves on their own.

Or if Portland and Seattle were added, they could just dissolve the Coyotes organization and still have 32 teams

That's not the right way to go. That's how rich teams like Toronto just buy all of the good players and win the cup for 10 years straight.

I've read some of your offerings here, and if my posts can lean your thoughts toward contraceptives, it's been a productive day.

FWIW My top forwards in the Flyers system
1. Laughton
2. McGinn
3. Cousins
4. Straka
5. Akeson
6. Leier

unless I'm forgetting someone I don't see much beyond those 6. I also very much doubt that Akeson is ever any more than a call-up guy, nor Leier any more than a 4th liner.

For all the talk about the lack of D prospects, I think they are now much more lacking in wingers. On D they now have Morin, Hagg, Ghost, Lauridsen and Alt which is a pretty good top 5, on the wing though, they have NO real top prospects.

- BiggE

Might be late but...Raffl?

And...

Yesterday, Morin worked on multiple drills, including a speed and agility workout in which he finished first. Despite his size, many scouts were impressed by his mobility and puck-handling skills.

I really want to get my 2013 Draft Ticket signed by Hagg and Morin, but I guess I have to wait until FWFFL when they are Flyers, or maybe if they both get invited to Camp this year.

How many cups did they buy between 1968 and 2004?

I'm not as worried about the forward prospects.

1. They have several young forwards in the NHL already
2. Forwards develop quicker than defenseman, so taking one in the draft next year will make things fine.
3. The Flyers have always shown an ability to draft good forwards in the first round.
4. They have several quality forwards already. The prospects they have will provide good depth and won't be expected to come in and put up points right away.

I think PHX was most likely to be relocated and now they're solidified where they are for the next 5 years. Methinks there'd be an expansion if we added teams. Seattle and _______?
- JAKEw1234

Seattle will be a relocation. Quebec and Toronto will be expansion franchises. everyone has their hands out and mouths watering over the expansion fees for those two cities. 1.75 billion makes it a slam dunk.

Sorry for my childish energy but it is exciting even though I may just end up disappointed yet again. Lindros definitely has a legit shot this year though IMO especially after Bure got in last year. We'll see.

On the Flyers front, I'm hoping they can still manage to sign a veteran winger and move Meszy for a late round pick.

I've always hated the idea of 1 city with 2 teams. I'm not saying it doesn't work, I just don't like it.

I know money runs sports, but I wish they would spread things out a bit and give a team to a city that would truly LOVE the team.
