the st louis blogger mentioned the blues fixating on players and then taking forever to get them. they wanted jay-bo and waited to get him. problem is for us, that jay-bo was got for a mid to late 1st round pick and poopty prospects. i bring this up because if we're lucky, we get a solid prospect for miller, straight up, if not, we get basically what they got for jay-bo. you could make an argument that tj oshie and a 1st is maybe the max we could get but it depends on how desperate they are. My money is if this happens, we get one of those things, realistically, and not both.

playing off of what jvince said just now and based on what people have been saying about miller for months.

You want to trade Miller because:

A.) we need to get something for him!

B.) if we keep miller, we will be better and not get a top pick and we want that top pick!


my only problem with B is that most people seem to hate miller and think he sucks, why would keeping him be worse than playing enroth. by that logic, wouldn't enroth end up being better and we would win more?

He said that either he was going to make the NHL, or he was going back to Finland. If anything, give the kid props for honoring his contract back home. It would be easy for him to take the bigger money and run, but he's not.

I disagree. And not necessarily because I think the Sabres will be so bad. The conference is just going to be brutal. I can see 3 teams with a winning record not make the playoffs from the East this season.
