He'll find a way to screw it up.
In 2005/2006 he got it mostly right. But then he stood pat at the deadline instead of adding valuable depth pieces that could have finally closed the deal for the Sabres. Meanwhile, Carolina pulled the trigger on Recchi and Weight and both contributed to their championship.
The man is a loser. He's never won anything and won't win anything. - Losman
Nice so basically you dont care about the sabres you just want to push your agenda.... |

I think he does it right this time....
Guys like Girgs, Larsson, Hackett, Zadorov, McCabe, Pysyk, Armia, Grigorenko and Ristolainan all look like the could be stars.
Add Hodgson, Foligno, Myers and Ennis if people can reach close to their potential....
I think the future rests on Armia and Grigs shoulders.... - toddkac
Define star? Is there a 30 goal scorer even in there? Aside from Grigorenko? Our defensive prospects have much more upside IMO. Unfortunately, they don't score a lot. |

i think if we tank we will get nylander. the year after that we will get mcdavid.
by then we will have same problem as colorado with hodgson, grigorenko and zemgus. take mcdavid and trade cody. nylander wont be top pick but hell be the drouin of his class. not close to drouin but that type of wing. a little less vision and scoring.
so HIGLY UNLIKELY but if that goes likes i hope it will lines could be this:
nylander-mcdavid-armia
foligno-grigorenko-ennis or vet (OTT?)
larsson-girgensons-tropp
catenacci-schaller-flynn
ehroff-ristolanian
myers-mcnabb
weber-pysyk
enroth
hackett
most of the kids should be decent by then. you have to think of FA and who we get in trades but again just a random, hopeful projection - Beezer33
With that being said, though, gotta put guys like Zadorov and McCabe in the mix on D.
Ehrhoff might be gone by then.

Why dont you just ask the NHL to put the balls in our favour? - toddkac
As I have said it is " HIGHLY UNLIKELY" if you care to read all of what I have said and not just the lines.
I also have wanted Mackinnon and Stamkos and Tavares. The long term future has potential to be very bright regardless of next two drafts. I just put who I HOPE to get but do not expect it.
Please read the artcle next time. Thanks! |

Building through draft is fun when you have top 5 picks. Buffalo is rebuilding with many young guys lacking in heart, grit or top skills. Pysyk is a waste of a first rd pick, skates well but doesn't hit, not gritty and can't even run a pp at AHL level. He is Chris Butler part 2.
Hawks and Penguins drafted stars and rebuilt their clubs with top end offensive talent, buffalo has no top end star scoring stars coming up soon. |

Send Terry your resume now, if Darcy built that team we would carry him around the harbor in one of these...

So with the Finland or Buffalo thing with Rasmus I have to ask...would you take Nichushkin? even though his saying would be buffalo or khl.
As much as I wanted Nichushkin, Rasmus could be a top 2 pairing in Buffalo for a long time.
We needed that especially if Myers keeps playing terrible. (Yes i own a myers jersey )
Also I listened to WGR too. Didnt hear the info like the other guy did. Its his hometown team. He will be here soon enough. And didnt win the hockey hall of fame tickets from WGR. was put on hold and the call was dropped. damn... - Beezer33

Any insight on who has made the most surprising gains from last year? I'd be interested to hear what they think of guys like Makarov, Ullmark, McCabe and Kea. |

Bailey could be slotted as a RW and not a C as most expect. He could turn out to be a great power forward for us and between him and Foligno he has some nice size and grit.
Heard JT Compfer is solid two way center they compared to Pominville. Between him and Hurley I would agree Devine did an excellent job.
Hurley would be a top 20 pick next year
as for guys who werent drafted this year i have heard of is
Zemgus looks outstanding so far. If they do not sign another center he may be playing up here right away.
Ullmark and Makarov are about at the same pegging. But Makarov is much quicker in reaction time but Ullmark leaves barely any rebounds.
Kea is projected to be a 4th liner at best in NHL. Really gets in the corners. Didnt hear too much on him though. More focus was on the new guys.
McCabe I didnt hear anything but most fans said they were impressed so hopefully hes looking good.
And Zadorov is oozing confidence cause he really thinks he can make it in the NHL this year. hes a big guy but i personally think he needs a little more time. no rush, especially right now |
