What is a Flyer?

The point is that the team name is the Flyers - plural. It's fine to use Flyer when talking about one member of the team. It's not fine to name a team after something singular, at least not in my opinion. Doesn't really matter if it's a real thing or something made up, just needs to be plural if it is a team name.

They had already added Vinny as that 2nd quality option, though, right?

I'm going through the Flyers' NHL.com faceoff reports post-Hall claim, and he was barely getting 5-6 FO's most games, and only took a handful against top offensive centers total. Not sure that his usage will increase next season, w/ Talbot healthy, Vinny as the 2nd option, and Coots/Schenn a year more experienced/stronger.

the Portland Brave refers to the players as the brave men of Portland, not to a collection of Indian Warriors. There is a difference.

Did anyone else watch the top 4 on NHL network for the 4th of July. Doing stuff like top 4 American players, etc...

Can you tell me how Lauren Hart doesn't get top 4 NHL anthem's when she is the top anthemist in the NHL? I mean they had that HACK from Chicago in there. 1....... 2....... 3.......

She is the top anthemist in the NHL as selected by Tim Panaccio.

Not that she isn't good. But the woman in LA is awesome. Jewel in NJ is top notch. The ones that grate are the dinosaur guys in Boston and NYR. I'll admit I never listen to the Chicago anthem because of fan antics. I don't like fan antics during the anthem. (Like the OOOOO in DC. bleargh) Chicago used to have the best, actually, until the guy was shot in the throat by a mugger.
