Kovys contract arguably cost the Devils Parise and Clarkson, and a first rd pick which is probably going to be a top 7 this year, probably even a top 3

It's not like the devils were anywhere near the cap anyway. The Devils do not have anyone on their team now who could break 60 pts except maybe Elias

So much for last night's debate......who is better, the Islanders or Devils.......Case close and it was, even before Kovelchoke decided to take the KHL money and run. That should be a lesson to the rest of the league, who want to take Russians with early draft picks. It could be you next! I guess the KHL doesn't believe in players honouring their contracts, here in North America.

I agree. In the beginning I think he was playing with Lee & Nelson and they looked good. They didn't score but Nelson & Lee had some good chemistry going

Kovy retires. WTF! So, Lou signs him to a cap circumventing deal for 15 years, costs the Devs a first rounder next summer and now, after free agency is over, Kovy gets homesick and decides to retire? Boy, did Kovy just "F" the Devs over. they forefeited a first rounder to sign him and now he takes off on them and didn't even have the decency to do it before free agency started. Wow...
