I'd say Lavy gets fired if they lose 15 games before they win 10.
- NickTheKid87

Including OT losses?

If we dump read, we will not win a shootout all year

Do you guys see this team as:

1) guaranteed spot (1-3 in their conference)
2) Wild card spot (4-5 in conference)
3) Outside looking in

- jmatchett383

1.5
I see us fall into the 3 - 4 range in our conference.

I think some former players (*cough*Roenick*cough*) need to realize that, if they had the option that Kovalchuk had, they might well have done the same thing.

But I imagine the air smells good on JR's high horse.

- johndewar

The Sabres essentially abducted Mogilny while he was in Sweden and induced him to commit treason against the Soviet Union through defection.... I don't see Roenick offering up reparations for that one.

Legally, as long as there is no CBA/Transfer Agreement violation, the move is kosher.

Morally and ethically, that's another question... but then again, this is world of professional sports... when did anybody really give a damn about morality and ethics until it was their turn to get the shaft?

Star players have been bolting for years from other leagues to the NHL, one way or another.

- Tomahawk

What are you basing it on that there's no violation? Can a player under contract in the KHL now "retire" and leave for the NHL?

It's not a retirement. And as long as this can happen. The transfer agreement isn't worth the paper it's written on.

I wonder if this will have any affect on the NHL's thoughts on Sochi

The KHL likes to give players hell when they try to bail for the NHL (See: Semin, Alexander; Malkin, Evgeni) but I liked thei rrecent move with Nichushkin. Dynamo Moscow knew that Nichushkin would end up in the NHL one way or the other, so they didn't burn their bridges with him, and instead said go ahead, we'll void your contract, but if you come back to the KHL you have to play for us.

There's some kind of agreement between the KHL and the NHL if I'm not mistaken. If Kovalchuk doesn't have an option of bolting from his contract, for the KHL. Maybe he doesn't leave. So this is a situation that needs to be looked at. And see what the fallout is.

seems like cap circumvention to me.

I'm a woman. It's expected. lmao... I don't let it rule my life but I do like to know when I'm going nutso.
Although it's pretty easy to do when all you can keep down is gingerale and bananas.
There are some fantastic calorie counting apps for your phone that make it a breeze these days.

I love those apps, that and working out have helped me to lose over 30lbs over the last 2 months.

However, I would NOT recommend stomach flu as a diet method, I hope you feel better soon!!

If they knew of his plans when he signed his contract... it absolutely is... and they were already found guilty of cap circumvention with his contracts terms.

I think it should at least help them get out of our zone more easily. Otherwise, I agree. As long as we see more W's than L's though, right?
- BulliesPhan87

Yeah but once we're in the playoffs, it's a different story. Adjusting to some teams has been an issue with Lavy too.

why sell us short?
Razor and Mason will be much better stopping the puck and #28 and #40 should be pretty good scoring.

Usually if its a really good fight or a good card I will order it, If its a moderate card I'll go to the bar. But really, after food and drink the bar bill is usually as high as the fight would cost.

5- SoCo with lime
3- tall dogfish head 90 minute
25 boneless wings... spicy garlic, Mango Habenaro, and Asian Zing...

ok, calorie count for me.

Malkin bailed on a freshly signed contract in Russia to come over... he gave them "two weeks notice", lol, and then left.

Same. NJ couldn't afford the buy out, and I'm still not sure they could even afford to keep the contract. The Devils talked with him a lot and were perfectly ok with his retirement.

If they play with the same style and effort that garnered a SO win against NJ on March 15, they'll be in good shape with this roster.

So they have their own problems with contracts, a lot of people seem to be painting the KHL into this evil league that tries to steal our players, but that's what we look like to a lot of KHL fans and management.

I think he'll be getting plenty with his $20 mil a year or whatever he's getting in the KHL
