Maybe. But what about players who are signed to 4 year deals, that aren't making a ton of money. And get a better offer from the KHL? Just retire and take the better offer! - MJL
Why should there be rules against people doing this? The players lose that do this lose all the money left in the contract. |

I know that draft is really crapshoot, but wouldn't make more sense to get somebody who has already some pedigree: Ryan Pullock who is scoring defencemen (14g, 45p in 61 games last year and had his shot register at 101mph) or Nikita Zverev who is huge but skates so well for a big man ...just saying - SGTrader

I trust our drafting team. Flyer scouts followed Morin for literally the entire year, and Pronger personally did an good extent of scouting on Morin. They decided he was the best guy to take, and they took him. |

There's a lot of angles to look at this from. If a player leaves the NHL for a better contract in the KHL, how is he losing anything. If a player making 4M a year in the NHL, can make 8M in the KHL. How is he losing? |

I think that's a very real threat if you have a Russian player on your team, for sure.
Maybe also, to a lesser extent, for other players from former Soviet bloc countries.
But I'm be surprised if a North American kid walked away from a pile of money to go play in Russia.
I'd be very interested to see the breakdown, by nationality, on KHL rosters. I also wonder if there are any rules in the KHL regarding how many non-Russians you can have (I believe such a rule exists in Japanese professional baseball leagues....maybe the KHL has a similar rule?). |

I'm pretty sure they got it from him. Gandhi also co-wrote a couple Spice Girls songs, specifically, 2 become 1. |

Lou got three years of Kovalchuk for Johnny Oduya, Niclas Bergfors and Patrice Cormier, a first round pick in 2010, a third round pick in 2011, and a first rounder in 2014 that will probably be a lottery pick. |

In all seriousness, it's 100x a better song than some of the poop out there today. My ears bleed from all the autotune on recordings these days. |

Compare that to what the Flyers gave up for 2 years of Pronger only the Flyers have to deal with LTIR for the next 4 years and the NJD don't. |

Although as far as slow 90's jams go, Kiss From A Rose definitely has it beat. |
