hall in the top 6 is generous. They played Read more than him at the WCs - TheNugeIsHuge
That's just cause Read has a better two-way game and Ruff got a hardon for him. |

duchene has a shot, but he absolutely is NOT a lock.
neither is hall.
lecavalier has NO chance
brad Richards has NO chance (this aint 06)
pominville has NO chance and would play for the yanks before us anyway.
Bergeron is a lock
where's benn?
marleau is getting long in the tooth, same goes for joe.
no way eberle is ahead of couture at present.
and yeah, couture is unequivocally better than a bunch of those names u mentioned
u named a lot of older players who wont be around this time. - hugefemale dog77
Hall is currently the highest scoring natural LW Canadian that has speed to burn. Unless he blows a tire next year, I'd say he's a lock to at least grab a 3rrd/4th line forechecking role. |

Better than Stamkos? He scored virtually every game. - TomKlassen
Yeah but look at their ice times. Stamkos was out for almost the whole two minutes of EVERY PP. Duchene had to create his points 5 on 5 for the most part. Did you see him play? Duchene was energy for the team every line he was out there. He really showed what he could do. The commentators talked about his play what seemed like non stop. Stamkos is a better player but Duchene was better in that tournament. If you match ice times and PP time you will see how much better Duchene did. |

Stamkos - Giroux - ________
Hall - Crosby - Duchene
Fill in the blank - JAKEw1234
Lol Giroux over Crosby? Have you ever heard of Sidney Crosby? He's a lock for the FIRST line centre job, no question. |

theyre both going to make it - hugefemale dog77
Getzlaf and Perry you mean? If so, I vehemently disagree and would argue their inclusion. |

theyre certainly not in the Crosby, stamkos without a doubt category. but barring a total meltdown in the first half of the season next year, they are as close to locks as it gets. |

Also, are we forgetting JT? Surely he has to be on the radar. |

well that's just not true. Hall played toughest comp dominating possession. Read played against 2nd lines and did reasonably well.
Hall just coughed it up too much. While playing like 10 mins a game he still was getting like 8-9 shots |

Dude this is the Canadian national team the lines are 1a, 1b, 1c, and 1d. I was just making sure Grioux was with Stamkos cause they have good chemistry, play together often internationally, and are pretty much a lock to be on the same line. But if I really hurt your feelings that much
Hall - CROSBY - ?
Stamkos - Giroux - ? |

Scoring-wise or defense-wise? Read is a good defensive forward, that's all I mean. Hall is by a long, long shot the better player. There's gotta be some reason Ruff played him above Hall. |

I missed Ben. Eberle and Duchene clicked to well to miss that. I agree some players are getting older but St.Louis got the most points last year and he is 38. Older is not a terrible thing. Logan is arguable equal to a bunch of those players is what I said. Yes he might be arguably better but I didn't want to get into that as it takes away from the point. We can fill 12 spots easy with players better than him and still have players missed that are better than him.
As for Duchene being a lock, I will put money on that. As for Hall in the top 6, it doesn't matter. Canada always rolls 4 lines anyways. Put him anywhere you want and it won't make a difference. That is why we lost the worlds this year. We had the deepest bench but we played one line most of the game. If they would do short changes and roll through all 4, that is where the advantage is. Plus Ruff had biases against players. He was a terrible international coach.

I'm a die hard Oilers fan but I couldn't see Hall being put on the same line as Crosby despite being Canada's best left winger. That being said, Hall would dominate with Crosby. |

Perry's a slow skater and his skill set as a mucker isn't nearly as useful here as in 2010 here. He's still got a nasty shot and great hands, but if you want to compete on Int'l ice you have to be able to skate with the best of them. Getzlaf is more likely, but again, you've got a similar sized player that skates better and is arguably a better playmaker in Spezza so I'd pick him over Getzlaf as well. |

I pick Weber, Subban, Keith, Pietrangelo, SUTER, and surprise choice here, Francois Beauchemin. Like someone in here pointed out earlier, he's really picked up his game in Anaheim and was 4th in Norris voting this year. He's a really good Dman. |
