Gagner/Hemsky are worth about as much as the oil I drained from my car today. The Oilers can't make trades because they have nothing to give. Get over yourself.

Gagner thinks he's worth $5M when he's basically Bozak but can't win faceoffs to save his life. Hemsky is a salary cap floor pawn in the game of hockey. If a player is useless to the Oilers, he's useless to the other 29 teams as well.

Thats a terrible trade for phili...Coburn is better then Smid and Read will be better then ganger but they are close...oilers would have to throw in at least their 2014 first rounder as well.

Never said they would, Schenn is running out of time and Vinny is a little creaky but we aren't a serious threat either. I think the Flyers need a whole new philosophy but in order for that to happen things need to get pretty bad.

I'm not getting into any discussion in this thread but on this point: whoever wrote what "you've read" is an idiot. At the press conference introducing Lecavalier, Streit, and Emery, Paul Holmgren said directly that the Flyers' top three centers for next season are going to be Giroux, Lecavalier, and Couturier, in order. Giroux is moving nowhere.

Don't see Buffalo trading Foligno. Especially for Hemsky. A young player for an older player who will be an UFA. Foligno was the reason why Buffalo traded Kassian.

Would be interested to see what Vanek could do with Edmonton. He would definitely fit in the top 6. I think that he would help the younger players succeed.

A trade for Vanek probably would not cost a lot. Buffalo's hands are handcuffed in regards to Vanek and Miller. With Vanek's age and also upcoming UFA, Eberle and Hall would probably be off the table.
