It's the prefect scenario to getting cap compliant on the last day of camp. And waiting to the first day of the Season to place Pronger on LTIR. If they can't move Meszaros.

Simply demoting those kids before day 1 will get them cap compliant in time to max Pronger's LTIR exemption. That's good news. They can keep Mez too, while bringing everybody back up before game 1.

But they really can't sign anyone between now and day 1 if they hope to go this route.

That's a huge roster turnover in 3 years.
