He really was treating it like a bachelor party. He was slightly out of hand but he couldn't let it go even though plenty of core people objected including (and rightly so) every lady who attended the previous BuzzGate.

Then he got personal and it was over.

Bill made me go over to see if we could patch things up face to face at the game but neither of us had any desire. We politely waved from a distance and I went and got a beer while Bill chatted.

Well that is too bad, he was a nice guy, I bought an extra ticket from him and we sat together at the BG #1.

Flyers got whooped by Tampa, and the start of the Matt Carle era was on.

That was Carle's first game, wasn't it? Talk about bad omens, huh?

I don't mind trading picks if a team is a player or two away from a Cup run. I prefer a GM be proactive, looking for ways to improve the team, which Holmgren does.

Trading a pick for a player like Pavel Kubina is what I don't agree with. He was nothing more than a band-aid. Trading picks for aging veterans by in large is bad business.

I'm a year above your age demographic and didn't find xfinity live THAT bad. There were places you could stand/go and be away from annoying people.
- johndewar

I hate XFinity Live. It's loud, crowded, the food's not that great, and it's overpriced, even for a bar. But mostly it's loud and crowded.

I remember asking Bill about the trade at the tailgate,
was Carle a top 4 defenseman , etc.
He was sort of luke warm on it IIRC.

When I drive I'm normally dialed into two things, sex or the Philadelphia Flyers. Right now outside of waiting for a very possible Simon Gagne signing, I've rewinded my mind to a year ago just before Rick Nash was traded to the New York Rangers and linked to the Flyers along with Bobby Ryan. Now, on paper Bobby Ryan did seem like a pretty good fit. He's around the age of Giroux, Simmonds and Voracek. He's more physical than Nash and a consistent 30 goal scorer. Now moving a head to a season as a whole I've noticed everything Bobby Ryan has done, it's quietly done. Rick Nash on the other hand has a certainly presence about him. I think Rick Nash even with the large cap hit is the best investment the Rangers have made in along time. Everytime he was on the ice against the Flyers, it was easy to notice. Getting to the point,I'm wondering what type of presence Vincent Lecavalier has. With all the compliments I've handed to Nash, Nash himself has still done very little in the NHL in comparison to Lecavalier outside of add to his own stats. This isn't to say Rick Nash isn't a solid player because he is. Nash vs. Ryan I like Nash more. Nash vs. Lecavalier, close call. Nash is younger and still has his wheels but Lecavalier I feel still has plenty to offer to the Flyers. Lecavalier certainly doesn't take a lot of focus off Giroux.

He seemed like a nice guy. He and I just never saw eye to eye on any subject. He tended to get a little carried away. If I didn't agree with him it quickly became personal. It happened in here all the time. Hell, it happened when I tried to talk to him at BuzzGate1. I had to walk away from him.

Sometimes two people just can't get along.

Simmonds is a younger, and frankly tougher version of Bobby Ryan. Point wise we can expect close to equal production from both of them. That being said, I think B Ry would be an awesome free agent option in 2 offseasons, and would definitely be a good replacement for Hartsy when he starts to decline in a couple years.

The four of you don't seem like the right mix. How the hell did that happen?

Did Jason and I miss you that game? Probably a school night. You'll have to let me know when you guys are going to a game next season and I'll snag some tix for me and the kid.

It would be cool to see Crims flirt with people in the parking lot again and by people I mean ladies and guys with long hair.
