I hate XFinity Live. It's loud, crowded, the food's not that great, and it's overpriced, even for a bar. But mostly it's loud and crowded.
- jmatchett383

Eh, sometimes I'm in the mood for loud and crowded. I don't mind hitting xfinity live after an afternoon Flyers game. For 7pm games, if I want a post game beer, I'll just go to the Bud Light pavilion.

The overpriced part? Yeah, I get that, but after spending $7+ per beer at a hockey game, it's tough to complain that much.

The four of you don't seem like the right mix. How the hell did that happen?

Did Jason and I miss you that game? Probably a school night. You'll have to let me know when you guys are going to a game next season and I'll snag some tix for me and the kid.

It would be cool to see Crims flirt with people in the parking lot again and by people I mean ladies and guys with long hair.

Yes. I don't want to talk much about it plus I'm leaving the office momentarily. Suffice to say, I can't afford any new system for the time being. Just not thrilled with Xbox 1 so far.

Simmonds is a younger, and frankly tougher version of Bobby Ryan. Point wise we can expect close to equal production from both of them. That being said, I think B Ry would be an awesome free agent option in 2 offseasons, and would definitely be a good replacement for Hartsy when he starts to decline in a couple years.
- JAKEw1234

Well this isn't exactly what I was getting at but I wouldn't compare Simmonds to Ryan. Ryan is more offensively gifted and Simmonds has more of a tougher grind game and edge to him.

In earlier years there was more of a mixed bag of people and at night this place would blow up with drunken postings. There were also certain elements that created a certain level of hatred in even the best people.

I know how people feel about MJL but he's always kept it clean and he survived those years. Trust me when I say he's tame in comparison to some of the people who came on here with agendas. Not only did they get themselves banned but they took other people with them.

There was also personal issues with a certain click of posters and certain refs at the time that went beyond the thread.

He had 4 more goals this year than Ryan, and Ryan had only 3 more than Simmonds the year before in almost 40 more games. Over the past couple seasons they've been almost identical offensively...

I guess part of it's that I don't drink. So for me, I really see no point in hanging around with my friends when I'm constantly getting bumped into people with bad music blaring and overpaying for food when we could just as easily head down to Chickie's and Pete's and at least be able to sit, have a conversation without screaming, and be comfortable while we overpay.

Talk about bad music and overpriced food, at least at the Drexel Hill location.

Hockeybuzz reality show.

"And that's when I realized I had been arguing with MJL for over 24 hours straight...maybe if I keep at it, he'll admit he's wrong"

"Can you believe this guy said Weber was coming to the Flyers this year? I mean...definitely next year, but not this year."

"And I was like, OH MY GOD. There's a difference between 'couldn't care less' and 'could care less.' Get it right."

"He pissed me off so much, I wrote all in caps. What is this place doing to me?"

If you pro rate what Simmonds did this season, he would have got 27 goals this season. Should of could have, didn't though. I wouldn't underestimate not having a training camp does for players. Some didn't even think there would be a season. Simmonds played over seas, Ryan probably sat in his mom's basement ate a tub of KFC. I don't know and it doesn't matter. The point is I don't think everyone was up to their normal physical fitness levels. I take nothing serious from a shorten season. Hawks deserve to win by being the most committed to winning but they couldn't possibly have the dame success in a 82 game schedule.

And no Simmonds and Ryan have not been identical offensively.

This thread used to be like a soap opera. People fighting. Outside the thread threats. Bans because some one wasn't nice to you in person. People sleeping together, moving in and out of apartments. Couples posting who we didn't know were together. Secrets... lies... Sex...

This place had it all and all lorded over by a guy in a ski mask.

This could play on Showtime.

Pretty much. I've been there 3 times.

Once when they had the grand opening for Flyers' season ticket holders. The Flyers restaurant wasn't opened, and the first 2 types of beer my wife ordered they didn't have, so we left. Best part was being at the arena early and talking to these 4 smokin' hot Czech girls who were there to see Jagr and Jake.

The second time, we were early and decided to see if it was any better.

Third time was after Game 6 vs. Pitt. My friend (he drinks) and I went in there. We got about 20 feet into the door, heard Nickleback blasting, looked at the wall of people in front of us, looked at each other and walked right back out.

You won't be prominently featured until the second season and you'll have to share top billing with 2Real and that douchie Sabres fan that only has one recurring line about everyone grew up wanting to be a Flyer until Season 3 is over.

I think they've been very close, and even if they haven't been that close, I'd still rather have Simmonds on my team than Ryan.
