You won't be prominently featured until the second season and you'll have to share top billing with 2Real and that douchie Sabres fan that only has one recurring line about everyone grew up wanting to be a Flyer until Season 3 is over.

It is silly to have Lecavalier playing anywhere other then center

I still don't get why we'd move a center to wing, and why we'd take our young winger who just had a breakout year and move him off the top line.
- jmatchett383

I think we can safely say that we have 1a and 1b lines. Vinny said that when he plays, he tends to come into the zone off the right zone, so he'd be very comfortable at RW. He's also expressed a good amount of desire to play with G. It could work, i guess.

I kind of ask myself why Giroux cannot play on Vinny's wing?

Well like someone in here said a while ago, BSchenn had almost a point per game last season he played with Voracek, they had sort of instant-chemistry. Voracek and Simmonds room together and are good friends. Whether that translates into one-ice chemistry remains to be seen, but still. At this point Voracek is a superior player to Vinny, and given that that 2nd line should have killer chemistry in theory, I don't see why it couldn't work well. BSchenn just has to work on his faceoffs and it'll be good.
- JAKEw1234

It could work. But I would have a problem if they forced it. No speed on the wing on the first line. I don't remember schenn and v having instant chemistry. Not going to argue it.

Simmonds is a natural RW. So he'd be flipped to the left.
B schenn i want to see in the with where i Think he can be a dustin brown type player. Lecavalier will help him there.

I'm sure we'll see lecavalier on the wing just don't know why it would be right away

Voracek may be a better player at this point of his career then Vinny, however that doesn't mean he would have better chemistry then Giroux and Vinny. I think Jagr's physical presence was really missed by Giroux last year, and if Vinny can bring something similiar, then I would pair them together.

Still though, I would rather him on the 2nd line, unless his presence brings Giroux's game back.

Actually Simmer is interchangeable between wings, so it wouldn't be like an unnaturally forceful change of positions.

It wasnt as good last year as it was with Jagr, was it?

Regardless of numbers, he just didn't look nearly as dynamic.

I think his game was the same, he just didn't see quite the same point pace. The guy was still on pace for 82 points...

Sounds like he violated your NBP (no butt play) clause in your contract. That's a cap penalty if you ask me.

plus hartnell was out for most of the year. and largely ineffective when he came back as he was probably not 100%.

guy creates alot of space for giroux and they do have undeniable chemistry usually

Ya I personally saw the same game this season from Giroux that I did last season, I just think a lot of variables changed and it caused a slight dip in his point numbers.

Nah. He's an important player. There's gas left. Wish he placed a higher importance on his conditioning. But that just wouldn't be Hartsy now would it?
