I don't know this guy, but espn is kinda harsh on Homer. All points have been discussed here before, but shows why espn sucks for hockey. - Adam1
I like our team much better now with the additions and subtractions. 42 game lockout season never existed, I've erased it from memory.
IMO, despite all of his mistakes, Homer is still a way better GM than Clarkie ever was!

I think it makes you incredibly open minded to break down an ESPN article on ice hockey.
You knew it was going to suck, though, right? |

I disagree. Clarke would often keep the Flyers' cupboards full with picks when making his moves. He wasn't perfect, either, but he was every bit as good a GM as Homer. I'd say his character flaw was going with his gut/heart a little too much instead of his head. |

Just my opinion: No matter what anyone thinks of Paul Holmgren, I think he plays chess as a GM.
I think Clarkie was a checkers player as a GM.
Homer may not be the best chess player, but I think I'd rather have Homer than Clarkie (as a GM) at this point. |

bleacher report is the worst. They have the most obvious prejudice against the Flyers. It's actually annoying to read their stories about league-wide standings, because it always comes down to the Flyers being terrible.

Despite adding the best free agent of every position, we're one of like 3 teams on that entire list that either did not get better or got worse. |
