In hindsight, I'm not so sure that would've been any better a route to travel.

The debate over what Bill said or didn't say -- I'm not entirely certain what purpose it serves.

Are people not allowed to be right or wrong in their opinions, anymore? Can positions not evolve? Can people never admit being wrong, never concede a point?

Ilya Bryzgalov didn't work out, and the Flyers are paying for it. As fans of the team -- or maybe I should speak for myself here -- I'm glad the compliance buyout was available so the team could move on.

I wanted it to work. I hoped it would work. I wish it had worked.

The three sentences I just typed likely covers 99.9 percent of people who root for the Flyers.

Because none of us can accurately predict the future, does it really matter if we go back to say, "I told you so?" Because at some point, all of us have been right or wrong, if we've offered opinions about the team.

Vokoun did play pretty well for the Pens this postseason. But then, maybe that's just in comparison to MAF

Lavi changing the D is just another excuse as it didn't work for Bryz and had they not acquired Mason the majority would have continued to blame the coach and Coburn and Briere for their defensive issues. The goalie's job is to stop the puck but somehow we all started making everyone else responsible for it to excuse Bryz. It was clear to me that Bryz was horrible and that he had to be bought out. Thankfully the Flyers thought so too.

He's a good goalie, he just didn't fit our system at all. Our system often relies on the goalie to be there for the big stop on 2 on 1s or situations like that, and Bryz isn't the kind of goalie that often shows up to make those big stops.

Bryzgalov was their best player in games 1-4 of the Devils series in 2012. He also holds the team record for consecutive shutout minutes.
But yeah, he's awful. All his fault. ECHL-level goalie at best.

Hall is the only American Flyer, so I'd gander to say no. From the Pens, I think Orpik and Paul Martin were both invited to camp.
