I didn't count Pelle, because, IMO, he died from stupidity, not injury. Also I didn't mention Howe only because between the WHA and NHL he played 20 seasons or so and was nearly 40 when he retired, so I can't really agree that his career was cut short, rather, I would say his effectiveness was reduced instead.

I was born in 1987, so I don't remember seeing him play a game for the Flyers. I just go off of what I read. His stats are ridiculous though. finished his career as a +400

Either way I wouldn't be congratulating myself on how fair and balanced I was this year after seeing how bad he was in the Pens series because it was pretty evident he was atrocious last year so there was nothing to be fair and balanced about. If you couldn't see he was horrible then I don't know what to tell you.

I was in favor of Versteeg and Bryz, but i'll admit that I didn't know much about Bryz before the team acquired him. I was just happy they found a long term, skilled solution in goal after that whole playoff debacle.
