IMO, Monohan will have to do something very special in a 9 game show case to stay up. I would much rsther see 1 of 2 things.
1. Stajan, Backlund and either Knight or Horak start as the 3rd line C.
2. We trade for or sign to a short contract (2-3 yrs) a capable top 6 C and Knight starts as a (much needed) 3rd RW.
Monohan can dominate the OHL for another year and play in the WJC. |

I think that's a misuse of Knight. He's a natural centre that has a great face off percentage. Let him take draws with the big boys and he'll only get better. |

So you guys are looking to dump Cammy aren't you? just for the money basically?
what would you take from us REALISTICALLY for him? He has had down years in Calgary.. a 1 year deal.. and his salary is higher than his cap hit..
I am thinking like a 3rd or 4th round pick and a low roster player/Luke Adam. - JVince11
Fuk no!
Myers and a 3rd for the risk of that contract. |

I hope you are joking. Myers has one bad season and people think he's horrible. If I'm Buffalo, I wouldn't deal him for less than a 1st and a quality prospect. |

I agree, especially with draws. My thinking is simply that it is easier to start we wing position. Knight is NHL ready I believe, but it doesn't mean he shouldnt get an easier intro to it. He can still take FO like Iggy did and then slide back to the wing. I would also give him some games at C as well as special teams. |

If Monohan shows he can play 15-20 mins a night then keep him....I think the whole "rushing" argument is a little overplayed these days. 10-15 years ago kids weren't ready physically to compete. But these days these guys are strong and in great physical condition. |

He wont. Look at our roster, there is no chance he has that low of a pt total barring injury. He will be logging prime time minutes. I'd hope Feaster would go to him and say "Listen, we can't get a package that is acceptable at this point. We are going to give you every chance to play big minutes and deal you to a contender at the trade deadline." - IggyOnly
Plus he is in his contract year. He will play for his money. |

Cammi is a douche. Not the guy you want to rebuild with. And massively over paid.
I'd love to see that deal happen and have him out of Calgary. - Iggysbff
I have no idea where you come up with that kind of conclusion. Cammy has heart and is a dynamic player. He's always seemed like good leadership material... I'd prefer to keep him around cause we still need some scoring throughout the season and trade him at the deadline On one hand you could see Tanguay dragging his feet and whining about a rebuild, Cammy continues to say nothing but positive things. He was recently shown to be volunteering in the community during the Alberta floods...now THAT is someone you want around for a rebuild

anyone calling him a douche is very misinformed or just trying to be the ultimate douche himself |

I'm not calling him a douche or anything but you definitely neglected to mention that Cammy did ask to be traded...

Source?
Just speculation I believe. Even if he did, who cares as long as he is a professionalism during his time here. Which I believe he has. |

He was chased out of LA and I heard from numerous people there that he was a locker room cancer.
He was then not resigned in Calgary despite having a good year because Sutter didn't like him.
Was again chased out of Montreal and had a war of words on his way out.
Now back in Calgary there have been people saying he doesn't mix well with others and has asked to be traded.
Douche all around. |

When you say numerous people, who are you referring to? Just the average fan or do you have actual iron clad sources like Ek does... |

I have not seen any actual source or interview of him asking to be traded
all post-season interviews he was very professional and mentioned that yes there seems to be a rebuild going on but made no qualms about it |

Exactly! What player in his early 30's would want to go through a rebuild? Not many. It's all how you act as it's going on. He's been a professional all the way. That being said I would bet Feaster has told him come the deadline (at the latest) he'll do his best to get Cammy on a contender. |
