I would love for the Isles to sign Gillies to a minor league deal and have him in Bridgeport and just call him up once in a while. I know we have Boulton and other guys who can handle themselves, but none of those guys has the 'stache. Besides, Gillies has other skills the others don't:

I have had an account on here since I think high school and might have made one comment due to the lack of articles for the islanders, I have been on it almost everyday to check rumors and laugh at the comments, I appreciate a real blog for once, I now realize I have to find the article instead of looking for the logo. I might actually start commenting now if this keeps up. I try to follow the prospects as much as I can, all I can tell you for sure is I played against Joey Diamond in high school and the kid has got flat out talent and is fiesty(I got into a scruffle with him our senior year). He can play the game, pick corners(did it against my goalie who got a full ride to play at WVU which is ACHA div. 1), hold his own, he's strong. Only downside is his height, though I'm thinking when injuries happen he might get a couple games in. I'm pulling for him to make it, and the fans will like him anywhere be plays. And to state again, good blog!
