Serious Question:

How many of us are only here or mostly here when we are getting paid to do so and using a work computer?? Just curious if its just me or not.

That's where I disagree. I don't think that Phanuef was in top 3 for our D last year. I think he is a middle of the pack defender on our team, and was only better than Liles, Kostka, Franson (arguably), and O'byrne this past year. I felt Gardiner, Fraser, and Gunnarson are better players. Quite frankly, I'd rather see them get Dion's minutes.

I really don't think that Dion is as important to this team as people make him out to be. I'd rather see Fraser on that top pairing.

Fraser is a solid #6 Defensive dman, no more. He cant skate and his puck handling abilities are on par ith the Maclarens and Orrs of this world.
I dont think I ever saw him transition the puck, he just passed it to Franson or liles or whoever he was playing with who then would move it.

Didnt anyone see how badly exposed he was in the playoffs? I think he had like 5 brutal giveaways that directly resulted in goals against.

I feel like I'm the only one who sees this. AM I ON CRAZY PILLS?!

as someone else said its typical for leafs nation to see a guy do well as bottom pair and wanna move him to top pair.

fraser doens't have the footspeed or hands to play top pair, but he's certianly a fine 6th dman

the one thing i disagree with a little is that he always passed it to his partner. I do agree that he can't handle a puck, but I defintely think he made good first passes all year, to the first guy breaking, nice short simple pass

haha ya the posts beween his and mine were all people who shared similar views.
Also I'm sure he did move the puck up himself a few times. Just once you get a hold of something you seem to see it all the more often. I remember distincively watching a game where he did that all the time. But your right, he does make some simple plays, if he isnt pressured.
If he under pressure, thats when the trouble starts.
