Your opinion was that Paul Ranger is not an NHL calibre defenseman - multiple NHL GM's beg to differ in that they were offering said player an NHL contract...I'm not sure your "opinion" in this instance is subject to interpretation or objective defense. It is factually wrong - as evidenced by the fact he has agreed to an NHL contract, and is further enforced by reports of multiple NHL teams offering NHL contracts to this player to play in the NHL. If your opinion was that Paul Ranger is not good, that is an opinion that can be debated.

Who is the huge loss? Fraser is going to arbitration and the Leafs cannot walk away from it, since it will be under 3.1 million.

Fraser is a solid #6 Defensive dman, no more. He cant skate and his puck handling abilities are on par ith the Maclarens and Orrs of this world.
I dont think I ever saw him transition the puck, he just passed it to Franson or liles or whoever he was playing with who then would move it.

Didnt anyone see how badly exposed he was in the playoffs? I think he had like 5 brutal giveaways that directly resulted in goals against.

Don't worry anyone with any kind of hockey IQ knows Frasor is a bum. And that's being generous. And our management team, which gets paid millions to make such decisions, knows this too. Which is why he's a million dollar at most and still unsigned bum. To mention Phanuef and Frasor in the same sentence is something that should only be heard in the small bus on the way to school.
