They had Beauchemin already!
if Burke let a player go and then gave up players like Lupul+gardiner for the same player, he'd be laughed out-of-town.

How about his 5pt in 6games.....I guess it didn't work out for him after all. |

They have a pretty strong prospect group in all areas. |

I thought his passing is very good. He makes some mistakes, so what? He's young. He can improve.
How many young D-men have the abilities of Gardiner? very few. - RogerRoeper
Having the ability to do something and doing it are two different stories. He has lots of talent but has a lot to learn to use it properly |

In all honesty, how could any Leaf fan that watched that Boston series not come away being really excited about Gardiner. Yeah, he made a couple mistakes but was clearly one of our best players in that series - against an incredibly tough veteran team in the fricken playoffs!!!!
Gardiner seemed to be everywhere on the ice, at times, it seemed like there were 5 Gardiners playing at the same time! LOL
This kid has incredible skating ability, his passing game and vision are off the charts and seems to have the talent to be a HUGE asset.
People on here are completely clueless! - Cooshie

I don't disagree with this.
Still very young for a d-man but upside is through the roof. Hopefully right coach to bring it all together. |

If every team gave up on their puck moving defensemen who weren't completely polished by Gardiner's age, there would be very few in the league. |

Yes, I realize that....
HH is going to lose a bet (Gardiner in AHL before XMas) - what was he going to lose again? |

I was saying to Bhud that Verhaeghe will end up being the better centre than Gauthier.
Still not adequate at the centre position, taking a long time to build it up. |

I'm thinking the Leafs should give it a whirl. |

He's barely played in the NHl. Give him more of a chance.
Kadri would not be a Leaf now the the attitude you have. |

Off topic, but Bure's number is going to look great in the rafters, hanging beside all the President's Trophy banners. What a storied franchise. Such rich history. |

I never said they should give up on him. I just asked about him being traded because of all the situations I mentioned in first post ie past with randy In anahiem |

You do know that he was concussed and had to spend a year recovering - not sure if you got that feed in your cave. Lets see what he does in his 1st real follow up season to his rookie year. |

Who cares? You don't dump young talent for that reason. And we barely heard anything about Gardiner anyways. |

All Gardiners fault!
I think it's time for you to hitch your star to a different wagon...may I suggest Chicago?? - Cooshie
How did it work out? Lets say Fraser remained in the lineup. Think things may have been different? Who knows.

I'd like to see them pick...you know, some skilled centres someday. Maybe next draft right?
Guys like Jared McCann, Ho-Sang (we'd have a local Muslim and Asian true GTA team!) and Adrian Kempe should be around where the Leafs pick. (Throw in a Reinhart joke somewhere). |
