Someone mentioned way back about Kadri getting 2 per. I'm sure its been addressed but no way is Kadri making less than $2.75 next year. If I'm his agent anything less than 3 is insulting considering the year he had. Sure I don't mind the bridge contract (although myself I don't like it always) in this case Kadri had an outstanding year offensively. You could even say he's worth $4.5 a year on a long term deal. Fair compromise? 2 years at 3.75 per.

I disagree I think he is just wildly spending money with no idea where the leafs are on the cap. No one in the organization has discussed a long term strategy.Nonis and his 2 dozen helpers just drink beer and watch reruns of Three's Company everyday at the office. Very little hockey is discussed.

Gardiner was inserted into the 2nd game and never looked back with large ice time. Gunnarson played with bad hip, what?...all season? Fraser broke his head in the 6th game? still lots of other players to play the necessary ice time over Gardiner...he got the ice time because he was won of the top players on the team.

Guy got a bad wrap...made some bad UFA signings (along with a couple good ones) but stocked the Leafs with some good players and a future after coming here with no assets and very few prospects.
