That's because you live in a state famous for...what, screen doors?
- jmatchett383

Did you get that from the Simpsons? Do you mean famous for something other then being the Banking Capital of the US and the first state to sign the constitution?

He definitely has the ability to. But I'm goign to reserve judgement until I see what he does against grown men.

I was actually thinking of Wayne's World. "We are driving through Delaware." but went with The Simpsons. Okay, you guys signed a paper 200+ years ago and are home to the most despicable CEOs in the world. Congrats???

When your state ratifies a bill does the bill say "are you in yet?"

DC does have some circles. I remember a lot of them driving from Bethesda to the mall. But I remember more driving to AC on 40.

Hammarby and his teammates beat the Canadians (coached by Jacques Demers) to win the gold medal in the Maccabiah games today. Congratulations to the best over-40 Jewish goalie in the U.S.! (EDIT: Heck, the world!!!)

Nothing rattles a revolution like circles. Thats how the south lost the war. 15 minutes into the war they didn't realize they were fighting themselves.

If its Christmas day, I can go to the Gas Station, stick in my credit card, and pump my own gas.

I love watching Jersey people stop on rt 40 on the delaware side for gas and just sit in thier cars waiting.....

- youarewrong

I like paying 20 cents less per gallon and being able to stay in the car with the AC on when it's 95 degrees, or when it's raining really bad.

There's always another gas station if the line is too long.

L'Enfant felt they were easier to block? I don't know. It never made a lot sense to me.

When the "Welcome to Delaware" sign's most prominent feature is "Home of Tax Free Shopping" then, yeah, it's pretty much a rest stop on the way to Maryland or North Carolina

Go to the South, they'll tell you they didn't lose. It's still being fought.

The funny thing about the south is that they re-inact the war. Could you imagine another losing side re-inacting a war? What if the Germans re-inacted WWII? The south must be the only loser to re-inact a war ever

According to this, L'Enfant originally wanted squares, where Congressmen could live and be a focal point for the surrounding neighborhood.

I always assumed they were built when there weren't many cars and it was a way for traffic to keep moving instead of having lights.

In terms of impact to the US and the World, Delaware has a bigger finger print then Jersey.

I always thought it was to punish the horrible DC area drivers. They're worse than Pennsylvanians who drive down here, doing 45 in the left lane of the Parkway and who don't signal any turns
