No, Communist would be to not award a goal to a single person, but all 6 players on the ice get 1/6 of a goal... - youarewrong
No... communism would be to not award the goal to anyone on the ice.. and to award the goal scorer as the guy who owns the team. |

I guess you are right. Communism is more about the NHL taking the goal, breaking it into 1/6 segments, and only giving the team 3 of those segments, while the league takes the rest and give them to Sidney Crosby. |

What a jerk.
The discussion somehow turned into an advanced stats argument (?), and those comments are treated like religion around here. |

Cause I have time to kill at work. Top 10 Flyers snipers:
1. Tim Kerr-4 consecutive 50 goal seasons and the quickest release on a wrist shot in Flyers history
2. Reggie Leach-the rifle, 19 goals in 16 games in the 76 playoffs, unreal!
3. John Leclair-hit 50 3 times in a row, shot was unbelievably heavy
4. Rick Macleish-best pure wrist shot in Flyers history, deadly on breakaways
5. Eric Lindros-was killer with every type of shot
6. Mark Recchi-had an uncanny ability to hit that one open spot.
7. Bill Barber-shot hard and accurate, a lethal combo
8. Brian Propp-wicked snap shot, loved to hit the top corner
9. Danny Briere-the ultimate big goal scorer, excellent release and timing
10. Jeremy Roenick-good all around scorer, also knew how to score the big ones

Have to add Advanced Stats to Doc_Sarcasm's Linus' list of topics to avoid as it's just as incendiary as Politics, Religion, and The Great Pumpkin. |

Nobody was even discussing advanced stats until you decided to take your random pot-shot.
Assists are as traditional of a stat as you can get, and people were debating primaries vs secondaries long before Gabriel Desjardins and Co. started doing their thing. - Tomahawk
There was no pot shot taken. Nor was anything random. We've already determined that we disagree on Primary and secondary assists as part of advanced stats. But it's clear that the discussion on the worth of promary versus secondary assists, was escalated by the advanced stats community. |

Good list..
Each time i see lists like this or the one Bill did I am reminded of how unique LIndros was in his prime. You could put him on the following lists i think
1. Best skater
2. stickhandler
3. Hits
4. meanest
5. goals
6. assists
7. fighter
He really was unique.
