I would rather chew razor blades than ever see slow as cold molasses Phaneuf in a Sabres jersey

There'd be no point in bluffing/being coy at this point. With all the little things that happened towards the end of the season and in the off-season, I doubt they'd try to play things close to the vest with Miller. It sounds to me like even though he likes the sabres, both parties want to move on so if there was a deal on the table he'd probably accept.

Miller to Anaheim for Hiller and Bryan Allen. Miller can be Gibson mentor on the Ducks and US Olympic Team. Sabres get a starting goalie and D with grit.

No way..... Miller is MUCH better then hiller, and we only get a grit dman with it? First of all it would take a top prospect or 1st rounder, second of all why trade for an elite goalie when gibson is ready...

like he said to mentor him..I would be happy to get Hiller in some sort of trade actually, keep in mind we are never gonna get top market value for Miller..ever..its not like he's under contract much longer

I'm assuming you've never seen Hiller play. When it comes to pressure situations he's as good as it gets. But don't worry about miller coming to anaheim. In addition to hiller and gibson we ALSO have Fasth and Anderson. Depth on depth

Wow really? An east coaster even knowing hiller's name is a rarity for me so this is insane. His health is a nonissue. Basically the vertigo came, form what I'm assuming, an unreported concussion at that year's All Star Game. After he finally stepped away from the rink and got that summer's rest he was symptom free. And that my friends is why you don't rush back from a concussion.

For Buffalo, they should trade for the future. Hiller will be past his prime by time Buffalo is ready for contention. That's why my deal is better (Miller for Grabner and a 1st). Grabner as a solid, young player for the future and an extra 1st, maybe to draft a goalie, filling the net.

agreed, but I am a fan of Hiller also..he is in his early 30's, that means he has at least 5 years still..and we all seen what Thomas did in his late 30's

Exactly, trade for future. We have a great prospect pool, we don't need to tank like Edmonton for 10 years. If we tank a 2 years, get a few more excellent prospects at the top of the draft, get high picks and prospects fo rguys like vanek and miller and Stafford. we have a good goalie prospect pool, but I couldn't believe we passed on Fucale 35th overall.

I don't. I can only see two or three Western games a season, not including playoffs because they are overruled by Eastern games. I still know the major names, though.

Funny, I feel the same about "crybaby" Miller in a Leafs jersey. Don't worry, the Leafs aren't dumb enough to make a deal like that.

That's really sad to hear. The western style is extremely fun to watch. The nhl really needs to find a way to promote the teams in the west.
