That's really sad to hear. The western style is extremely fun to watch. The nhl really needs to find a way to promote the teams in the west.

Ik. There are a lot if teams Id like to watch more. Luckily, two of those are now in our conference. |

Exactly, trade for future. We have a great prospect pool, we don't need to tank like Edmonton for 10 years. If we tank a 2 years, get a few more excellent prospects at the top of the draft, get high picks and prospects fo rguys like vanek and miller and Stafford. we have a good goalie prospect pool, but I couldn't believe we passed on Fucale 35th overall. - Djtyczy
J.T Compher was the better player, I'm guessing they thought they could get him (Fucale) at 38. |

Miller to Anaheim for Hiller and Bryan Allen. Miller can be Gibson mentor on the Ducks and US Olympic Team. Sabres get a starting goalie and D with grit. - DuckPonder
My roommate gave me that trade idea as well... that would be great pre-vertigo Hiller and with anyone other than Allen. |

I'm just saying, guy is saying to take the deal without knowing anything about it. It could be a 4 year deal with the Sabres, would you be happy then?
Or are you assuming the "deal" is a trade that he has to approve? - mehetmet
Well it took you While to get there but you did get there!
Yes trade that is to one of 8 teams he can list as teams he would not accept a trade to... Like someone In the East that keeps him away from his wife in LA |

Funny, I feel the same about "crybaby" Miller in a Leafs jersey. Don't worry, the Leafs aren't dumb enough to make a deal like that. - djamon
they signed Nonis to a 5 year extension... ANYTHING is possible in Leaf land... |

Hearing that there's a deal made to send miller to one of the teams that was on his list of teams that he did not wish to go to and he is thinking over the decision |

Brooks Laich is not a 2nd line center. Grabovski would help. It still wouldn't be enough. |

Miller is a cry baby and once he moves near his actress wife on the west coast he will be happy. I would just play him In the AHL all season and interview him about his 4.00 GAA that 1980s goalies had. Guy can't stop a beach ball. |
|
|
|
he doesnt have a full NTC so he doesnt have that power, he would submit a list of 8 teams before the sabres look to trade him. Sadly it has to be a contact with buffalo. - Mentalorgasm5
Or they want to trade him to a team on his list of 8 and they want him to say its ok to do. Also as someone else mentioned, the most probable case is that nothing is actually happening. |

A scenario that I think could actually help both clubs would be a Vancouver-Buffalo trade. I know people are going to be up in arms but think about it.... A deal that would potentially send Roberto Luongo, Alex Edler, Brendan Gaunce and their 1st round selection in 2014 to Buffalo for Ryan Miller, Tyler Myers. What happens is Buffalo ends up with a more experienced and likely more playoff ready defenseman in Edler and a goalie that could be rejuvenated in a new hockey market in Luongo. Miller gets what he wants, heads out west, Buffalo can stop talking about Miller - Vancouver about Luongo. Vancouver lands a goalie that has shown at times can be the very best in the world. The fallback for Vancouver is a great, young player with good upside in Myers. And Buffalo lands a 1st round selection which they can use to continue to better their prospect pool as well as a good prospect in Gaunce. At the end of the day I think both teams have bettered themselves. |

I actually like this idea. I'm one of us that would rather not move Myers yet and I would do this. We'll done! |

Miller to Islanders for Grabner + a 1st? - willschulme
absolutely horrid for NYI,
one year rental of a declining goalie, is not worth more than what Lou paid for Schneider
Miller at best worth a 2nd |

not a chance,
Myers has steadily declined and is as soft as Charmin, A 6'8" guy who plays like he's Paul Reubens in a Sabres uniform. and Miller, who has steadily declined.
Sabres fans need a dose of reality..... no canuck fan wants this deal |
